My husband and I decided to take a quick weekend getaway, we have two small children, so the convenience of having a living room area and a kitchen was great for us. And being right on the beach was fantastic. The buildings and room that we stayed in were a little outdated. They were clean, but you could see the "repair" work that had been done. Nothing was broken in our room. The check in staff was very friendly and polite. The housekeeping staff was terrible. Once we realized that they came late in the afternoon, we made sure to adjust our kids schedule to make sure our room was cleaned. One day when we came back the maid was in our room, so we took the kids back out to the beach, we were gone for a little over an hour, when we came back the maid cart was gone, the service sign was removed from our door and our door was closed, but when we walked in there was a maid in the living room. She had no cleaning supplies, nothing, not even a trash bag or broom or something that would indicate why she was in our room with the door closed. The next day the room was half cleaned, there were a couple new towels left on the counter and they left the dirty ones in the bathtub, there was still sand on the floor from one of the kids shoes, so they never vac'd either. Then the day of check out came, we didn't have to check out until 11 AM but the housekeeping staff that never could be found until 2 or 3 in the afternoon was outside our door at 9 AM. The room next door to us checked out the day before and left their blinds open, the maid didn't clean their room until late that afternoon, but they were in that room again sitting on the bed watching Jerry Springer. We took our kids for a quick walk on the beach and returned to the room a little before 10 AM and they were still watching TV in the other room. We loaded our bags and went to the elevator, the elevator doors weren't even closed yet and the maids went into our room. We haven't even checked out yet. For the price the place was nice, most of the staff was great, however this was the first time that the housekeeping staff actually ruined the entire experience for us and really have us questioning if we would return to this hotel.

House keeping, especially Ronnie. She made sure we had what ever we needed. The other ladies checked with us every morning like clock work. We loved the view of the beach and ocean, the pool and hot tubs were great and access to the beach was great. It all made for a wonderful first anniversary. Can hardly wait to do it again. Great place for families, lots of family restaurants and many places to go for the whole family (mini golf courts, water parks, amusement parks, boardwalk and peers, nature reserves) this is just a few things.

Room Tip: We were on the 2nd floor, higher would have given a better view of the beach and ocean.

We stayed in a three bedroom condo. We had excellent Hospitallity service from the time we checked in to check out. Tellys went above and beyond. He was very knowledgable about the Palms. He also recommened places to eat. What impreesed me the most was while we were checking in, a pizza delivery guy came in a rudely interrupted Tellys while he was talking to us. Tellys simply to the pizza guy that he would not address his question until he finished informing his guest. He handled that pizza guy perfectly. It made me feel like we were valued guest. Thanks Tellys!! Aso, we had great housekeeping service. Thanks Melissa!

From the outside it appeared to be a nice stay. However upon entering the lobby the outdated look had me uneasy. My worse fears were confirmed when I arrived to my room to find it far from clean and to later be switched to another room due to the roach infestation. Not to mention the awful beds, terrible, dirty appliances' and so outdated, worn, filthy furniture. Never well I let someone else make me reservations with out first reading reviews on the sites listed for reviews.

We stayed in a 1 bedroom condo - an end unit which I would recommend. The bedroom had 2 beds and the living area had a wall bed. The kitchen was complete with everything except a dishwasher. We had nice flat screen tvs in both rooms and a nice view of the ocean from the balcony. The staff was all very pleasant and helpful. The pools were nice and there were plenty of pool lounge chairs available for us.
The only thing that might be improved is the work out room. It was small and only had a couple pieces of equipment.
Overall, this is a really nice oceanfront accommodation with everything you need for a pleasant stay. It's in a quieter part of Myrtle Beach, but only a mile walk down the beach to Pier 14 and the amusement area and boardwalk.

The Palms was a very nice place to stay. We stayed in a condo. Plenty of room and very nice view of the ocean. The outside and inside of office area was very clean. Pools were clean. Staff was very nice. Only complaint I had was that the people working the front desk was sitting in the back room watching TV and not out front to greet people when coming in.
