Dear Past Guest,

Being at the far end of the beach does have its advantages and disadvantages. We are away from the hustle and bustle for those who don’t want to be in the thick of all the activity the strand had to offer. If the internet was not working properly, we would have had our IT person check it out. Some times we do have issues with the internet, and we try to fix it as soon as we are made aware of the problem. We want to thank you for staying with us and look forward seeing you again.

Sincerely,

SMB Management

Great beach front location, nice pools and freindly staff the rates were good but bring your own beds. I found 2 red bugs, potentially bed bugs, between the blankets of our "wimpy" mattress. The staff did not seem too concerned about my reporting the bugs and joked that perhaps it was just red ants. They asked me to catch and bag the bugs for them instead of managment attending to my concern and making a personal appearence. I spent the remainder of my vacation days spraying for stoy away bugs. Unless you want to sleep standing up I would not recommend this vacation resort.

Dear Past Guest,

After reading your review, I am very disappointed that our accommodations were not to your satisfaction. We strive to accommodate our guests to the best of our abilities and I am sorry that we fell short in your expectations. We are a beach property and do get our share of unwanted visitors from time to time. When that does occur, we try to take care of the problem as soon as it is reported so our guests are not inconvenienced. We appreciate your feedback and work to make our resort one everyone will want to stay at. We want to thank you for staying with us and hope that in the future you will give us another chance to leave a positive lasting impression.

Sincerely,

We liked that it was a quieter and less crowded area of the beach during a very busy vacation season. The hotel was nice enough and we had an enjoyable stay. The pools could use some minor repair but overall were clean enough and water felt great. The pier was really nice and we wished we had visited it on our first day there instead of the last. We saw an amazing 4 ft shark be caught. Evidently there are some poisonous fish so be careful if your not a seasoned angler that knows the local fish. This is no 4 star hotel but it is nice enough and was decent value during a high dollar season. I suggest booking directly with the hotel as they give the same price and throw in some freebies when you do. Our room had 2 double beds and a full size fridge and microwave. At booking it said Ocean view but in reality I don't see how any rooms would be anything but ocean front, all with a view of the pier. We all slept very well in the beds which is rare in most hotels.

Dear Past Guest,

I am happy to hear that you had a good time while on vacation at our resort. We feel our property is unique in its design that most tourists don’t venture down past our pier, so the beach in front of our property is less crowded than the rest of the strand. Our pools are scheduled to receive a little TLC after the busy season for minor upkeep. We appreciate your feedback and work to make our resort one everyone will want to stay at. We want to thank you for staying with us and look forward seeing you again.

Sincerely,

SMB Management

Stayed here 3 nights for a family reunion and had a ball. Great location. The rooms were ok and heck this IS Myrtle Beach right? We enjoyed walking on the beach especially on the adjacent quiet state park.

Don't stay here.
Carpets in the halls are dirty and full of stuck on gum. The doors to the rooms are old, faded and scratched up. Had a chunk of wood missing from the bathroom vanity and sink is so low that if you're taller, it's really had to wash your face or brush your teeth. Also sink is outside the bathroom and practically on top of the bed. Furniture is old in the rooms. Cabinent that the tv was on was all knicked up and had drill holes where the old tv was. Dishonest housekeeping stole my husband's change that he had on the table in the room. Housekeeping would also leave bags of garbage by the elevators and not get rid if it for days. Someone made crumbs all over in front of the elevator right when you got off that wasn't cleaned for days. The indoor pool is unpleasant-you enter from the parking garage and are surrounded by cars.

Dear Past Guest,

After reading your review, I am disappointed to hear that your recent stay with us was not to your satisfaction. We strive to accommodate our guests to the best of our abilities and it is upsetting to hear that we fell short. Our property is an older one and we continue to improve it little by little. The holes in the dresser are a result of the old TV’s being screwed down. We upgraded to the flat screens located on the walls above the dressers and have not replaced the dressers yet. As for having to enter the pool area from under the building, I do apologize. There are other entrances to the pool areas, but unfortunately you do have to go down to the ground and basically walk through some of the parking lot area. We appreciate your feedback and work to make our resort one everyone will want to stay at. We want to thank you for staying with us and hope that in the future you will give us another chance to leave a positive lasting impression.
