DUMP! DUMP! DUMP! The rooms are filthy, dirty, cockroaches and outdated. The staff are lazy and rude. We had roaches in our beds, kitchen and tubs. I wouldnt stay here if it was free. The parking is a mess.

Room Tip: Never stay here

Rooms are dingy, outdated, falling apart, in need of maintenance & dirty. Light fixtures did not have bulbs & couldn't get them to bring any. The buffet is good for breakfast and the waterparks are fun for the kids. They had a car convention in one of the few parking lots one of the days we were there, but they blocked off the parking lot for it 3 days before. Parking is limited as it is.

Room Tip: Ground floor was very noisy. They had a family reunion fish fry outside our room two days in a row a...

I have stayed at Sea Mist resort twice in the past for vacations with family. It's definitely no 5 star resort but it's a good place for families that want to go on vacation but may not have a lot of money to spend on it. Both of of times we went, we stayed in the cottages and villas which are located a couple blocks from the ocean. The two vacations we spent here were a couple years ago and our family has since moved around to other resorts in MB. I just made a TripAdvisor account lately and wanted to recommend and comment on Sea mist..

The accommodations (rooms) are outdated and aging of course but ours were roomy, private and at least clean. The amenities at the resort were nice though and gave the kids and teens plenty to do during the vacation. They have a good size outdoor waterpark, 2 in-door pools, multiple outdoor pools, large outdoor jacuzzis and of course the ocean/beach. There's also a large playground for the kids near the waterpark, an arcade, fitness room, miniature golf, and the resort is down the road from the family kingdom amusement park. The staff was always friendly to us and when we did have issues they we quick to said maintenance and housekeeping.

Room Tip: A good resort for families with low vacation budgets

This was my first time ever going to this resort. I think all of accommodations were nice. The staff was extremely helpful and polite. We were there for Christmas. There was lots to do and they gave coupon books with check-in. It was roomy and clean. Very reasonable rates for the holidays. We parked right in front of our door with no problems. We will be returning in the Summer to try the water park. The hot tub was heated nicely. The staff gave us tips on things that were happening during Christmas day. Our family would like to make this our family tradition.

Room Tip: we stayed in room 65105. We checked in at 7pm it was well lit and homey. We stayed across the street...

DO NOT GO BY PICTURES! READ REVIEWS. I think the spray building should be closed down, that is where we stayed for New Years Eve 2014!!! that is a smoking allowed building. the parking garage was run into the dirt and dark with no security cameras or guards, be careful with children/teens. we saw a few "creepy" looking guys lurking around the buildings at night which could of been the long term renters and their friends hanging out. NO night security!!! I knew from the reviews it was out dated but read the rooms were clean and we wanted to take advantage of the package price and an in-room Jacuzzi (hard to find). The room was clean but the murphy bed was held shut by the couch and did not close all the way in, "eye sore". The heater was very loud and our dead bolt and chain was broken on the door, already felt unsafe and that just added to it. The hallways and elevators in the Spray building had old musty carpets and over heard a woman complain someone urinated in the elevator, again no security/cameras and long term renters should be put in their own building. They DO NOT supply room coffee/sugar, so bring your own to use for the in room coffee pot. I expected it to look a little dreary for winter but not so blah!!! the one and only indoor heated pool available was clean but no personality to the area, not even a colorful plant or a few nice chairs to hang out and relax. We didn't even bother to use the pool and hot tub and once again out door area not lite well nor security measures. MAYBE, the other buildings are more up to date and fresher with better beds, ours you could see the springs and made for sore backs. Tena's restaurant was closed but had a free breakfast offered to another place. I was not looking for a fancy place, just the typical nicer beach motel but this definitely needs a lot of repairs and newer beds for sure. The building next door with a view of the parking lot did have a very large lite up pretty hot tub outside of their sliding glass doors, if you didn't want to hear your neighbors out there don't get those rooms but if you went with a few couples it would of been nice. I can not say how your stay would be in the summer but please be careful with the security problem. I would consider going with a group of friends in a different building if nothing else was available, weigh the pros and cons and read the reviews. The Spray building felt like a scummy apartment building so choose one of the other buildings. Good luck!!

Room Tip: Do not stay in the Spray building. Ocean front seem more up to date and more lite up at night and mo...

I expected this place to be a top notch five star resort, especially with the way it is advertised. We were very disappointed in our stay here. Parking is a nightmare in the summer. It was far from a relaxing place. It was very busy and loud with many rude guests. We didn't swim in the pool because there were people in there being too rowdy and throwing each other. Nothing was done about it. The water park looked fun but we didn't use it due to the rain. The place looked a bit dirty and needed a good scrubbing down. The beach is relatively small in front of the hotel. We did not get much sleep due to inconsiderate people yelling, screaming, and setting off fireworks on the ground floor balcony half the night. Finally, at 3 am we had enough and walked to the front desk to complain. The next morning we decided to leave early and checked out. They reimbursed us for the nights we didn't stay but we still had to pay for the nigh we were there. They wanted us to pay an early check out fee but we fought it and ended up not having to pay it. Won't be back to this place!

We have been coming to this resort for the past ten years. The rooms are clean, spacious, and comfortable. The rates are very reasonable.. We especially like the location because we feel safe and if is in close proximity to the places we visit. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

Room Tip: We usually stay in one the the Yupon townhomes which is like living in an apartment
