“Great hotel north of the crazy part of Myrtle Beach”

Great location north of the busier parts of Myrtle Beach. Rooms are nice. Service is good. Beach is very nice. Umbrellas set up every morning..but I think you have to pay for them. Pool is nice. There is a covered pool with a lazy river as well.
When I go back to Myrtle Beach I will be staying here again.

This was iur first stay at the Island Vista. We have stayed at various hotels in Myrtle Beach over the past 6 years. This was by far our favorite hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful. The facilities were kept very clean. The layout of the facilities was great. This is located in a quiet residential area but, is in close walking distance to resturaunts and shops. The price was comparable to other places that we have stayed. We enjoyed the pool side music and shows on various nites. We were happy that they had entertainment offerings and did not have to leave the resort. We will be returning to the Island Vista soon.

We stay at Island Vista a lot and are ALWAYS pleased. Wonderful amenities that you don't always find. New beds, living room furniture and a great kids club too. Kids can enjoy time with other kids doing fun supervised activities while you enjoy some adult time!!

The on site restaurant is Fantastic for both breakfast and dinner. The staff is outstanding!! Truly a great price for a quality meal.

This ocean front resort has much to offer whether a family, group of golfers or snow birds!!! Super clean, super comfortable.

We stayed in unit 702, a three bedroom ocean front ( they are all ocean front) with many extras (flat screens, stocked kitchen, DVD players, games etc)

You cannot go wrong at Island Vista!!

We celebrated our 50th anniversary with 21 of our children, their spouses and our 11 grandchildren at Island Vista. We chose the location off of TripAdvisor because it seemed to have everything: beach, pools, restaurant, tiki bar, large suites with kitchens, and balconies, We were not disappointed. Our week long celebration was enhanced by this wonderful hotel. Everyone had fun especially the kids who range in age from 6 months to 24 years. This is a family resort; if you don't like lots of kids, chose another hotel. We travel a great deal and this is, by far, one of the best hotels we have ever stayed at.

Room Tip: All five suites we rented were lovely, beautiful and comfortable bedding, completely equipped kitche...

We usually stay at Anderson Ocean Club but saw this resort online. Received several mailings for years and finally decided to stay this year with some friends (6 adults and 4 boys ages 7 & 8). We leaned toward stinks property because of the advertising and great reviews. We were looking forward to the Kids Club, 3 pools, and the fire show. 2 out of 3 were a bust (kids club and fire show). The boys loved the pools.

The Kids Club is not a kids club that other resorts offer. Instead, you find a list of activities for the kids that may take up to 25 minutes to complete. This was just long enough for you to catch the elevator up and back down. They also advertised a Shark tooth hunt. When we spoke with the attendants, we were informed its really a Seashell hunt because they rarely find Shark teeth. This was disappointing and should have been deleted or renamed on the List of Activities. For the Kids Night Out, that cost $15, we were told the boys (who at the time were the only kids signed up) would play beach soccer or baseball and order pizza. I hope those that read this do not book Island Vista for theKids Club (like we did). Otherwise accommodations were very nice and I have recommended it to friends. I will stay again.

As for the fire show that was advertised.......what a nice thought.......but is not what's advertised. If you saw pictures or saw a video clip, you are expecting a grand production. it was not. I thought the same before I found out the show is Free. After watching, I see why. The dancers are not Polynesian at all. They appeared to be students at a local dance school that have worked very hard to learn native dances. The main guy, fire breather, does a great job. I would have rather paid a fee and watched a real authentic Polynesian/Hawaiian show.

The housekeeping was outstanding! Maintenance staff was very nice as well. I didn't need them but, when I saw them, if I initiated a conversation, they would respond. Very pleasant. I almost forgot, the restaurant was nice and so were the waiters.

Room Tip: Overall, very nice property and we do plan to return.

The resort is excellent and speaks for itself! Where Island Vista exceeds is customer service and friendliness! There is not any other resort that all 20 of us would stay! If you are looking for an awesome family vacation go to Island Vista!

Just back from a long weekend at Island Vista with my children. The hotel is right on the beach and has hotel rooms and as well as full size condo's. We loved our 1 bedroom condo. It was clean had everything we needed. We did have some issues with the balcony door in our room. Which maintenance immediately fixed the problem. The staff were all very nice! We did have some guest next door that liked to scream yell like it was there house from 9pm to midnight every night. So I didn't get much sleep. But that's not the hotel's fault. The beach and pools were really nice. Overall i was happy with the accommodations and I would stay again.
