On long drive home from Florida over Christmas break, we took an out of the way overnight stop at Island Vista as my daughter wanted me to see Myrtle Beach. By the time we had checked in, walked around, then settled into our room, we wanted to stay longer and fortunately the wonderful woman at the desk was able to accommodate us. We ended up staying two nights/three days and loved every minute of it from long walks on the beach, the hot tub, the enormous amount of time spent in the lazy river and pools, working out in the gym, to relaxing on the rocking chairs. We had some meals cooked right in the kitchen and took a short drive into town for dinners out, shopping and entertainment. Needless to say my daughter not only convinced me to return, but I'm thinking about Myrtle Beach when it comes time for retirement. We're already planning next Christmas break!
