My sister and I stayed here every summer for five straight summers. The rooms were clean, the service great and the owners became like family. As our girls grew up we stopped going but not because of the motel just because our girls grew up. We love you Mid Town.......Stacy, Sheron and girls

It was so nice to stay at Mid Town! We had stayed there back in 1997 because my sister and I were single parents and that was all we could afford. They were awesome then and still are today. Nice people, clean rooms, walking distance to Grand Strand and the beach. Loved the balconies, we were able to watch the fireworks all around us. The hotel is old but well taken care of. Prices were good too. We will definitely go back

Good location, but old & cheap!
Must like to climb stairs, & parking is far away!
Pool is tiny, bad location.
When we went into the front desk, we didn't even
receive a "Hello", no greeting, (from the old man) Not a good impression.
Well, as they say "you get what you pay for"
Also, lot's of vacant lot's surrounding the Motel.
If you like pop corn ceiling & old paneling, old kitchen cabinets, etc. or
the RETRO look, you might like it. would i go back, NAY!

I Stayed AT MIDTOWN MOTOR INN a week me and my hubby . We had a great time staying at this LITTLE PLACE . ITS CLEAN ,VERY NICE PEOPLE.ITS NOT FAR FROM THE BEACH .We had stayed there many times before . BOBBIE AND HENRY ARE THE NICEST PEOPLE YOU WOULD EVER WANT TO MEET .One of the night we was there someone was having fireworks on the beach . Thier son had went and got icecream for the whole hotel. that was great of them everyone at the hotel watch the fireworks and ate icecream . Which is something you would not get from a big hotel . The maids at this little hotel are second to none very nice and friendly they keep everything very clean. MY HUBBY AND I JUST LOVE THIS LITTLE PLACE. We would not think of ever staying any place else at myrtle beach . To let you know if you are looking for a five star hotel this is not the place but you can not really get much better then this little place called the midtown motor inn. one may not think of this being a five star hotel. But just from the way BOBBIE AND HENRY AND SONS make you feel so welcome as if they have known you forever make it a five star hotel in my heart .ITS A GREAT LITTLE PLACE TO STAY . I want to thank them for a great time why we was there and we will be back soon .FROM OHIO Lee and Bill

i thought the midtown motor inn was a great little hotel. they were so nice to me, my dad, and my 2 brothers. people who say its a terrible hotel are not at all right, they were always smiling as my family walked by. its prices are low and affordable. you have a wonderful view of the beach and a block away from it!!! all im saying is its a nice place to be. oh and the pavillion isnt there any more so dont worry about your sleep you will get some in those clean neat nice rooms! so go drop by and have a great time

The People who run the motel are very rude and hateful...They charge you a phone bill evertime you pick up the phone and dial, even if you have a calling card or just calling to order food or check out prices at any stores or anything..they charge you 10 for the key,but if you dont run up a phone bill they give that back to u..If you aint married and anyone is under 25 you have to pay a 25 damage fee..The parking is not too good and u only have one parking space per room....The cleaning lady on the second floor is very nice and she will give you anything u ask for..the rooms are ok but if u can get out of talking to the managers and find a good parking place yo will be doing good...But The People Being hateful made my trip a depressing trip.....

we stayed at the midtown motor inn, july of 2005 and it was a nice place to stay. it is'nt ocean front. but if you get the side facing the ocean, and get the 3rd or 4th floor..you can still see the ocean.. and it's only a block away from the beach..and at night, you can walk down to ocean blvd. and thats the busy part of town..where all the shops are and the pavillian. the roller coaster ride is right beside the motor inn..and the rates are very cheap.. i would diffently go back...
