My family has stayed at the Landmark and different times for the past 21 years. We always found the indoor pool area a great place for our children to enjoy and so have we. It's been a few years since we visited, so I was concerned about our stay after reading some of the post on Trip Advisor.
My Review:
Easy check in and Lobby area was nice and clean. We stayed in a South facing 1 bedroom with a kitchen on the 15th floor. It was clean and not really showing it's age, although the couch could stand replacing. Nice flat screen tv in living room. Older small tube tv in bedroom. Kitchen is small, but functional. Bed was comfortable, slightly hard, but slept ok. Ocean view is OK. There was no carpet. The entire unit has tile. Kind of weird, but actually smart in that it is very easy to keep clean between occupants. It was quiet, we may have been the only ones up there, did not see anyone else. Elevators were fairly quick to pick us up. Pool area was FOGGY and kind of burned my nose, my contacts would not last long in there, did not go swimming, but my 16 year old daughter did. She had a good time and the water was warm. I'm sure she froze getting back to the room, but kids can do that, not my old self.
The Landmark is an older girl on the Strand. Showing a little age is a mark of distinction of many years of Fun, Safe, Family entertainment.
My honest evaluation of our stay is simple. We stayed for 2 nights on a Friday and Saturday for under $150.00 including tax. We could have doubled our money and stayed at a newer place. Gained a 2nd flat screen, perhaps a wider floor plan, larger kitchen. I'm glad we chose to save that money for other use.
The Landmark still has it. The price is a steal.

We stayed here for a couple of days and really enjoyed our time here. Our room was clean and so was the rest of the hotel from what I could tell. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I would definitely stay here again.

Landmark Resort,is a great vacation spot .Staff are wonderful from front desk to cleaning staff.Food is great,pool area awesome and on the beach great.But the GM treats his staff like they are a bunch of cattle,no respected for is staff. It's a same that upper people still treat their staff like poorly. SAME ON YOU..

Room Tip: South angle rooms are the best.

Summer vacation! Right along the beachfront, Had all kinds of activities for the kids, enjoyed the tiki bar by the poolside, bartenders were very friendly and made great drinks, and unfortunetly I didn't see that they sold fried snickers until our last day:( yum..., also you have to request a Wrist band each time for each visitor that's entering the pool, Tight squeeze in parking garage but overall enjoyed.

Have stayed numerous times over the past few yrs but it's really gone down! Don't stay here. Room not clean, strange smell, torn bed covers, fuzzy TV, 20 min before we could get any hot water. Won't b back.

Room Tip: Ocean view suite means ocean glimpse & no other view at all.

Great hotel for a good price. Good location, helpful staff, lots of entertainment for the kids. We enjoyed all the pools, the snack bar, the restaurant, Starbucks & the magic show. We will definitely be returning to this hotel.

I've stayed her many times over the years. Loved it initially but it seemed to get progressively worse each year. I almost didn't go this time, but it does seem like some improvements have been made. I will likely go again in the future as I am hopeful.
