We have stayed at several different hotels in Myrtle Beach through the years. The Holiday Sands at South Beach (condo building) ranks right up there as one of the best! We stayed in 501 which is a corner, two bedroom, two bath unit, direct oceanfront. The parking garage was so convenient as we could park mere steps from our condo. This was by far the most convenient of all the hotels we have ever stayed at. One bedroom had a side view balcony with views of the ocean and the street. The living room and master bedroom both had sliding doors onto the oceanfront balcony. The bathrooms were large and the tub in the masterbath was huge! The rooms were spacious and clean. The only negatives were a large stain on one of the couch cushions (we turned it over to the cleaner side) and some stains on one of the extra blankets in the closet----I don't even want to guess at what they were---YUCK! The pools and hot tub were always clean and never very crowded. I wish the pools were a little warmer, but I like my pool water just about as warm as bath water. We went to the hotel building next door (the older Holiday Sands Hotel building--amenities are shared by both properties) to check out the pool areas. This building is in desperate need of updating! The area around the indoor kiddie pool was VERY dirty, in deplorable condition. So very different from the conditions at the condo building. I would definitely stay at the condo building again, but definitely would NOT stay in the hotel building.
