You guys were great! Thanks for the memories our stay was wonderful. Thanks to the staff for making special arrangements for our anniversary. we were both blown away by your going above and beyond.

We are just leaving and we had a great time. The business center (using it now) came in very handy as well as the free wireless in the hotel. Fireworks Wednesday night in front of the resort were perfect and viewed from our balcony!
I can't say enough about the thoughtful and friendly staff, more than willing to go the extra mile for our kids (they loved the activities and the kids water park). What a great staff! We will be back. Couldn't leave without taking a moment to thank them for their hospitality.

My daughter had booked this "reasonably priced" ocean front room while we came to find a wedding reception site to follow a beach wedding. We arrived late at night and still almost left this dirty, smelly, cramped property immediately. There was noone to get our money back from. The hallway was thilthy, everything had about 20 coats of paint on it. People left their trash in the hall. The whole place smelled like smoke, beds were worn and uncomfortable. We were given some handicapped equipped room and the commode was so high my feet didn't even come to the ground. There was a hole in the bathroom wall. Water had to be on 15+ mins. before it got warm--little pressure, We called and basically nothing was done.
We were only staying 3 days so since we could not get our money refunded we thought we'd try to stick it out. Second night, we return---hallway smells heavily of smoke--actually marijuana. In our room it got much worse so at around midnight we called security. They came by and agreed it smelled but said there was little they could do. After it got even worse an hour and we nearly called the police--ater we called again and they did knock on the neighbor's door--but he said they couldn't come in because his wife "naked". They again told us there was little they could really do. Finally the front desk asked if we wished to move to another room. In the middle of the night we moved to a slightly better room--not a handicapped unit---and slightly less old furniture and it did not smell as bad.
The next day we had some time to go to the pool/lazy river and the ocean.. It was a bit crowded and loud but a whole lot nicer than the rooms. Nice sandy beach.
Nice view---so they need to close this building and tear it down ASAP and just put their potential buyers up somewhere else until their facitility is complete. We will be contacting AAA and whoever we booked through.

My family were here three nights checking in on Monday. The hotel ammenities were misleading. There are full, not queen beds in the rooms. None of the ice machines work. We booked two rooms more than a month in advance, but were placed on separate floors. The parking is bad, of course. I had a cabinet door completely off and placed leaning against the wall. My mother had peices of wood in her bathtub upon arrival. The staff dismissed these complaints by stateing the had no other room to put us in. They claim indoor pool which doesn't exist. The outdoor pools were dirty and cloudy. They claim full size refridgerators, but we both had minis. My view consisted of a huge ugly palm tree not of the ocean. The bar staff charged different prices for the same drink and the drinks were terrible every time. The rooms did have coffee makers as promised, but stuck in the cabinet without an outlet. When I called downstairs inquiring about extra sugar and cream, the staff was dumbfounded as to where to locate these. I gave up. As for the children's activities, I did see a sign with a schedule as well as a sign designated as the "meeting area for activities" but the "activity staff" were non-existant. I would think if they wanted participation from kids that don't know them, they would have made themselves available around the pools to get to know the kids and to "sell" their activities. I would not recommend this hotel for anyone planning a family vacation. If you are going and need somewhere to sleep without much expectations, this hotel will suffice.

Dump Hotel! Lets see, itchy beds, mildew smell through out the room and hotel. very weak water pressure. Hotel looks like its 1975 all over again. This hotel should be taken down. Do not stay here. it is not worth having the ocean view at this hotel. I left the same day i checked in. I had booked this hotel for 2 nights and decided to eat the cost to leave this nasty hotel. Checked in to the Staybridge hotel which is located 5 miles away from the beach. the staybridge puts this hotel to shame.

We went to Vegas 2 years ago and was approached by a Westgate timeshare salesmen re: the property. Vegas Villa beautiful/people great we thought it would be great for our family for disney world or myrtle beach. So we bought the "owners" vacatin package to give it a test drive before buyting the time share. Well let's just say they MISLEAD you totally! The pictures even on the billboards on the way into the beach show you a beatiful huge building etc and you get there and it's a stinking Holiday Inn building. Huge Construction that no one told us about. Parking was VIP...NOT we had to cross a 4 lane highway no crosswalks/traffic lights with 3 small children to get to the hotel. Only 2 of the resturants were open...oh did i mention the service sucks..we even had caked on food on the fork and lipstick on the water glass at our table the 1st night we were there and no service and we were the only people in the restaurant we got up and left! Still night 1 room small as hell...said to sleep 4 people...what?! We have 3 small kids and us and it was beyond a tight squeeze! The sofa couch lets say the sheets hadn't been changed with hair on them! Tv didn't work/Fridge didn't cool...uumm..was a smoke free/ pet free resort that I was told...room smelt like smoke...dogs walking around restaurant main lobby area and around the kiddy pool all weekend with no response from staff! All the staff was concerned with was the mob of a crowd of people they had brought in to try to push the purchase of there timeshares!! Not the clients they already had that had paid! We left a day early..we drove 8hrs with 3kids for this vacation. and came home early! At night b/c this is the service! THis is not a resort or 5 Star as they claim. When we checked out were we every asked how the stay was or why we were leaving early? NO just "ok your all set"..Thats the way to get returning customers! We have stayed at a no star hotel before and had way better service and rooms than this!!!!When I called CS to tell them of this...I was promised a call back by a supervisor they never called me back,..I called again and was informed my allegations were not correct and no one will talk to me personally, that I have to send a letter! What the hell!!!! Please do not waste your time or money on these people! They will rip you off!

  • Disliked — For a claimed 5 star resort for service etc. it doesn't match a 1 Star..too much money for nothing!

Hotel is okay not great. seem to deal and pay more attention to owners rather than guests. staff polite and are quick to grab your credit card upon check in. Huge fight on second floor of hotel by spring breakers nothing seemed to be done about it. fights went on from 10pm to 3am. very scary!!!. decided to pack up and leave at 3am.hallway looked like a battle zone garbage everywhere luggage carts all over just a complete disgrace. complained at check out but told nothing could be done. just "very sorry". called hotel to talk to front desk manager and was told he would call me at 10am. I called him at 10:30am he again apologized and said there was nothing he could do and that we should have been told that the 2nd floor was the floor reserved for spring breakers.Family resort not this week. Beware if you plan on taking your family there this week in the future. i will be writing a formal letter to aaa and myrtle beach tourism office
