“Great rooms, bad view”

My one bedroom grand delux room was gorgeous and the bed better than Westin's heavenly bed. Quiet and comfortable, although I did feel a bit crowded, this place is really nice. The breakfast buffet has what you need and is a good value since it was included. I also ordered room service once and ate at the bar once and I was never disappointed. This isn't the Ritz but it was fine for what golfers need.

My wife and I stayed at the Westgate Holiday Inn Oceanfront Resort, Mytle Beach. It was our first time visit and we were so glad we choose your hotel. It was a great and unforgetable experience for us because of your staff, J-Ann Mendoza Bieniek. She is very friendly and courteous in every aspect of customer service. She has totally satisfied our needs and answered every questions we had. She is very professional and knowledgeable. There is no doubt in my mind that all your guests fell the same way as my wife and I felt. The room is very clean and the room temperature is perfect and comfortable, The linens are clean and smell fresh and towels folded and arranged nicely with extra showcase display of a swan. The view to the ocean is breathtaking and refreshing to wake up to in the morning. Perfect location! The breakfast buffet is very delicious. Overall, our stay is EXCELLENT! We love to stay at your hotel again and highly recomment it to our friends and families. From a very satisfied customer... Great Job!

Horrible, horrible, horrible. The 'condo' was a postage stamp; represented as spacious one-bedroom but actually smaller than a hotel room. We were, apparently, the only apartment on the floor that wasn't part of a large and noisy family reunion. The first night there were doors slamming, running up and down the hallway, screaming and yelling until 2:30 a.m.; the second night until 1 a.m.; and the 3rd night until well after midnight. Each night we waited until after 11 and called the desk for help - several times. Each time the desk said they'd send someone up right away and then did nothing. They promised to find a larger suite and then would never get back with us. Our VIP concierge showed up halfway through the vacation. He then tried to sell us a condo and promised a larger suite....if we bought one. I made a massage appointment and then had to hunt down the location - no one seemed to know. The masseuse said they called her at 1 p.m. Monday for a 2:45 p.m. appointment that day. I had made the appt with the desk the Friday before. Everyone there was very nice and completely useless. We arrived Friday for a stay until the next Friday. We left Wednesday morning. The absolute WORST run resort I've ever been to...bar none.

Room Tip: Get them to describe every detail of the room. Oceanside may mean the side of the hotel with an oce...

We apologize if this was not the case. If you found other guests keeping you awake, we are sorry, our Security Team tries to curtail any late parties if they are affecting other guests. The occupancy level at that time determines if we are able to locate a different room for you. We regret that we were not able to provide one for you. Our masseuse should have been available for you if you made an appointment. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We are always looking for ways to improve-your comments will be shared with our management team and we want to thank you again.

After reading multiple reviews for this hotel both great and horrible my husband and I were slightly apprehensive about making the reservation. We were relieved when the first person we encountered, J-Ann at the front desk, was extremely friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The quality did not stop there, we stayed in the one bedroom king ocean view with a jacuzzi, and it was very nice. All of the other staff around were also very friendly and everyone is approachable. The location cant be beat it is close to shops, entertainment, and most importantly beach access. We had VIP parking which was awesome. You can always find parking super close to the hotel entrance. The breakfast buffet was also really enjoyable with a wide variety of foods, which was good for me (vegan) and my carnivore husband. Overall, we had a great experience and will definitely stay there again.

This hotel has the best staff I have ever met and the rooms are beautiful. The front desk especially. Trevor, Alex, Angelica, and Teili went above and beyond to ensure that I had every thing I needed to have the most stress free week I could have. All of the other staff around was also very friendly and everyone is approachable. Awesome!

Alex in guest services provided excellent customer service.

Cons Water pressure very low and water doesn't get very hot. First room had only cold water. I was transferred to another room.

Location is close to area shops and entertainment. Close to amusement park and putt putt golf. Great for family vacation.

I was unsure about this hotel because of the great price I got on it, but I was definitely pleased with everything there. Everyone on the staff was very friendly and helpful. The parking for guests (and not condo owners) was a little annoying but it wasn't annoying enough to make me rate lower. Friendly's is right across the street and the hotel has a lot of food options. The water did take a little longer to heat up, and our sink clogged up the last day we were there. However, it wasn't a major turnoff. Overall, it was a great experience and I would definitely stay there again for such a great deal.
