This is a great resort out of the way of the main part of the Grand Strand. Nice Amenities and a great place for the kids and parents. If you are taking kids that are less than 10 - you would be better suited for the Palmetto tower as the water park for the younger kids is located in this building. The staff is nice and friendly and very helpful. The amenities for the kids and adults are pretty good. It is a laid back atmosphere with an organized staff. Overall this is a nice out of the way place that we will return to again!!

Room Tip: Book early!! Best prices are early before March and early April for Ocean front rooms. A/C unit is...

Thank you for taking the time to share your Dunes Village Resort review with the world. We appreciate the kind words and are really glad to hear you enjoyed your vacation here.

We are in a primarily residential area, so the beach is generally less crowded than the ones in downtown Myrtle Beach. THe amenities are wonderful and the activities are plentiful.

Thanks again for the great review. See you next visit!

The view from my balcony of the atlantic ocean was beautiful, fabulous, price less, The kid activities are fun. My kids love the water park, indoor and outdoor. I was so glad to be able to go to the beach and not get sand in my car. The staff enjoy being at work and are beyond friendly. I can't wait to go back

Room Tip: if u have kids spend the extra money and get the room with the washer and dryer and separate bedroom...

We have stayed at Dunes several times now and again we loved it. The location is great, we like the palms building because the beach is much less crowded on that side because of the houses next door instead of high rise hotels. The staff goes out of their way to make are your trip is enjoyable. The kids activities and kids club is great for the little ones too.

Thank you for your wonderful 5 star review of Dunes Village Resort. We appreciate your kind words. And, we are grateful for your loyalty to us. We love all of our guests, but we get a better chance to know you when you come more often.

I am sure you know that our Kids Club is a year-round program, unlike any other in Myrtle Beach. We have scheduled games and activities every day of the year except Christmas Day. So any time of year that you come, there is always soemthing planned for you to do in addition to the awesome water parks.

We look forward to having you back again soon! See you then!

After reading other reviews we decided to take a chance with this hotel. The reviews were all over the place but generally good. As it turned out, we really loved the Dunes! Very friendly staff , clean rooms, and well maintained pool areas. My kids (ages 11 and 9) couldn't get enough of the two pool areas. Although we loved the access to the beach, it would have been nicer to get there in a more direct route. The hotel makes you go through the indoor pool area first making it a slight pain in the butt. The one complaint we had about the hotel is the parking. They have a parking garage across the street and down a block. If your room is in the Palms area of the hotel, then it is not too far a walk. The garage is always packed full and the elevator is probably the slowest I have ever been in. These are minor gripes, but when you have cranky, tired kids (and adults) by the end of the night, these complaints are major.
If you can overlook this problem, then definitely stay at this hotel. Next time we do, I will pay the $12.00 a day for valet parking. Worth it!!!
The location of the Dunes was perfect, away from the hustle of downtown and everything was within 20 min drive. I would definitely recommend looking into the Dunes for your Myrtle vacation.

Dear Valued guest,
Thank you for taking the time to post a review on Trip Advisor.

I am happy you enjoyed your stay. There are a few routes to the beach. If you are staying in the Palms Building then you will notices a sidewalk straight to the beach on the south side and during the morning hours you can also cut through the Admires Room so you don't have to walk through the water park.

I will have the elevator looked at to see if we can speed it up a little.
Valet parking is well worth the $12 and many other guest think the same.

Hope to see you very soon.

Best Regards,
Dunes Village Resort Management

We arrived a day early and were accommodated by the staff going the extra mile. As usual the hotel provided lots of fun for the kids. Wish we could go more often. Kids really enjoy the pools and slides as well as the other kid oriented craft projects. The onsite restaurant provided excellent food and the hotel is located near a lot of attractions.

Room Tip: Get your reservations in early.

Great resort to stay. Indoor water park is fantastic, nothing like it elsewhere in Myrtle Beach. Our kids (ages 11 and 8) said it was the best vacation they ever had! Adult fun too -- hot tubs, cabana area with tiki bar, all right in the ocean! We only wish we could afford to stay here again someday. We loved it!

From the moment we checked in the staff and resort was more than I expected! We never ate at any of the restaurants on property but I heard from other guests it was very good. There was plenty of staff at the waterpark making sure the kids were safe. The pools, hottubs and lazy rivers were very clean. The indoor pools on the Palmetto Tower were warmer tho. Our king suite was very clean, bed was a bit hard for my taste but everything was updated nicely. When we needed extra towels, the staff brought us up some fast! Everyone was so kind and helpful during our stay, really made this place special. The resort is located on the northern end of Myrtle which made the stay alot quieter and easier to come and go as well as the beach less crowded. The parking garage is across the street but had no problem finding a parking place. It was also very clean as well. We had an angle suite in the Palmetto Tower on the left side, view is not half as good as any of the other sides due to another hotel right beside it. So I would recommend the Palms tower or right side of Palmetto if you get an angle suite. But overall, this is the BEST of the beach in my opinion. The resort staff go all out to make sure the kids enjoy crafts and games all day long. I will be staying here again and again in the future. Well worth the money!

Room Tip: Dont get a room on the left side of the Palmetto tower if you are getting an angle view.
