The hotel room was average it was clean but not Great Not brand new like I like. I liked that the room was right in front of the beach though, that was a good thing, The room had cable, plenty of towels and washcloths, It had a microwave, bar, plenty of cabinets, stove and sink, Iron, iron board, it even had a washer and dryer in it.

We were booked at this hotel in order to attend a Hilton Grand Vacations timeshare presentation. We did purchase the timeshare, however, our arrival to the Best Western was very disappointing. I would not have selected this hotel personally since the ratings were not high to begin with, but we were locked into this. The weather was terrible (snowed while we were there) so we were trapped in our room and couldn't venture out. It was not a very good experience. The hotel is in dire need to some renovations -it's sort of set in the 1970's.

Room Tip: There are several Hilton chain vacations in the area, which are always guaranteed to be updated and...

Stopped one night in Myrtle Beach to visit friends. Stayed on the 8th floor. Found this hotel to be trying to be resort-like but the rooms don't back that up. If you have too many items to carry to your room, racks are only available with a bellman. Not available to use personally. There is an event person who gave us scads of brochures and ads for local attractions which we should have just skipped since we were only there for a night. The room was small and the balcony was way too small. Parking is a block away and valet is available for a fee but we didn't. The bathroom was small too and towels felt like 80 grit sandpaper. I had stayed in the other Best Western further south, and would go back there had I reason to come back. Good price though, which was why I chose this location.

When we arrived to check in, our reservation had been cancelled. We had booked a 1 bedroom suite, and since the reservation was cancelled and we were not notified before arriving (after driving 9 hours) they put us in a room with just 2 queen beds and said they're full due to the busy weekend and could not get us into the room we had reserved. We did get free breakfast for our whole stay at Magnolia's, which had great food. We got thrown in the 2nd floor of the oldest building they have with no real good view of the ocean. When we walked into our room for the first time, there was a butt print on the bed and the pillows were knocked off. Not sure exactly why. We had to call them and tell them that we didn't feel that this room was cleaned properly and definitely not what we had paid for. We wanted upgraded to the room that was rightfully ours. Shalene and Lindsay at the desk were a great help with finally getting us to the right room for the remainder of our stay after 2 days in the less nice room. It seems like the daytime staff is good and on their game, and the night shifts just don't go above and beyond for their customers. "I Care" - Not so sure about that.

I would recommend this hotel. Just make sure to get what you pay for. And also, try and stay in the larger of the 2 buildings. They are newer, bigger, more private and have a 100% view than the 2nd floor of the small building.

Very nice! We have visited a few times and have chosen to stay in the Best Western the last two visits. Housekeeping was wonderful, they came in quickly and made the place look like it did when we first got there. We had a small view of the ocean, which was beautiful, we were there while it snowed and must of been the coldest weekend ever so the beach was not seen often except from our deck, we did see dolphin's..

While visiting relatives who reside in the area, I needed a place where I could be near to family and certain restaurants in the vicinity to where I wanted to go.

The Best Western Carolinian did not disappoint. It was a pleasure to experience beautiful sunrises from the hotel room balcony. I had my mobility challenged mother with me, so it helped that our room was located very close to the elevator. At check-in, we were greeted by Richard, a friendly clerk and were assisted by a friendly, helpful bellhop with our luggage. The rooms were clean and the coffee was always tasty and hot! I would come back again.
