We stayed here after we found out that our original hotel was completely under construction. It was okay. The price was cheap, $50 a night, but we got a 10% discount so ask about it. The room was average. The pictures look nice, but the room was kind of dirty. It wasn't gross, but was not as nice as it could be. One day the housekeeping didn't give us any new towels. We had to track them down to get some. The indoor pool was closed to "put new chemicals in it". We were there in the offseason so Myrtle Beach was pretty quiet. Don't go there in March unless you want solitude. Many things were closed. The room was okay. I would only stay there if we couldn't find anything better. My favorite thing was that it was right on the ocean.
When we fisrt pulled into the parking lot it looked so small until we relized it had a sisiter hotel next door with under ground parking. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean, tidy and stylish. Our view was amazing too!! The elevator was a litle scary though. It needs lots of work. The pool on the other hand is frightful. The water is VERY merky and it needs lots of tender loven care!!!!! Unfortunally we won't stay here again because of the pool. When you travel with kids the pool is a big part of the trip. Maybe they should consider fixing it up to a pleasant experience like a pool should be and we'd come back. Other then that it was a very nice place to stay.
We only had a few days to stay in Myrtle Beach, one night was at the Quality Inn across from Coral Beach, the other was at Bar Harbor, there was a sign out front for 40.00 oceanfront. We stayed there the second night, and was very impressed considering the age. To me alot of the places in Myrtle Beach look old and run down, unless you plan on spending alot of money, which we don't have thanks to a labor dispute between my union and workplace, lasting 9 months now! The view was great, the room was clean, the pool was fine, there was a nice size balcony and range, microwave, fridge and dishes. The ocean sounded wonderful and we slept with the door to the balcony open to get the full affect! Loved it, honestly thought it could use some renovations, but was pleased anyway:)
my girlfriend and i stayed at the bar harbor from sept 19 thru oct 1and did not have any major problems the room was clean and the cleaning lady showed up every day no complaints there as for the pools they were small but so what you have a multi trillion gallon pool out the back door its called the ocean also the elevator worked fine is it that hard to tell what floor your on its a 8 floor building and also anyone can use the steps as for the bugs some call them roaches some call the palmetto bugs owell the buildings old yes i agree but if you want the myrte beach hilton stay there not at the mom and pop older hotel and everyone should stop complaining we stayed for 612.00 for 12 nights in a ocean front king suite and cant complain oh two more things the room smelt fine and the air worked
Me and my wife & kid was going to tasy for 4 days. Well on the 3rd day we came back to the room and there was a 3inch roach on the wall.It was about a inchand half wide.i called up front told the desk. They ack like they did not care i told them i wanted my last day money back well i have not seen it yet.But i tell you the elevator sound like a old wooden roller coaster its a scary ride. No lights work on the peice of junk .There is spider webs every where with mean looking spiders in them. The pool is on the second or third floor its very small and really nasty. Its about 15ft long and8 ft wide .Hope you dont want to dive it is only 3 ft deep.Only 6 longe chairs there. Its like some kind of kiddie pool. The bottom of the pool is falling through the floor and people park under the pool.We had the ph room and its very small for ph room. When you first go in room it stinks very bad
