This location was the quiet side of Myrlle beach. everything was a short drive.{the beach was right there}. Each of these condos had different furnishings and accessories. some a lot better than others 1107 was great.
Forth floor gave you direct access to parking.

Condos are older, but well maintained. Enclosed pool and lazy river space safer for children and adults. Beach area greatly improved over the years. Staff helpful and very friendly. Some kitchens better equipped than others. If you want a quieter stay, choose a higher floor or a spring/fall trip.

My wife and our 4 month old visited July 27 to July 30. We stayed in room 1105. Overall I would say its a rather descent place. Located a little farther away from the hustle a bustle if the strip which is nice. But within a convenient distance of the strip, shopping, tanger outlets, dining and activities. No problems from the staff. Everyone was curtious and willing to help. Can't speak for all of the condos but ours was very nice and well kept. Good furniture and large flat screen TV. Had table with two rockers and two regular chairs on balcony. Upon checkout my wife requested a little extra time (new parents) and the front desk staff obliged and gave us an extra 30 mins at no charge. That was appreciated. My only complaint would be the elevator situation. I understand we were at the peak of the season so the resort was busy but there are only two elevators at one end of the building and of course the stairs. The average wait time for an elevator was 6-10 minutes. It would be nice to see something done to improve that. All in all I would recommend this place to friends and family and would stay again myself.

We rented a condo at Forest Dunes through VRBO. At no fault to Forest Dunes, but we had a horrible experience with the rental agency - it was a 30-min drive from the hotel just to get keys and they did not provide sheets/towels even though we'd requested it and argued with me when I called about it. Required us to drive another 30-mins to their other office to get towels/sheets. We were very unhappy with the way we were treated by this agency.

Aside from the bad rental agency experience, we had an OK stay at this hotel. The property is much older so don't expect a new, fancy resort. It's a high-rise but smaller property. The condo we had was lovely and large - it was a 1br and newly renovated. They are all owned individually so decor and cleanliness differs I am sure. We did like the condo and it was very clean and had a great view from the balcony.

We were there for 4 days in April for spring break and it rained and was cold the entire time. Not a pleasant trip because of the weather! The hotel did have an indoor lazy river pool and hot tub (the cover comes off in summer). But it was so hot and steamy inside there, you could sometimes barely see 2 feet in front of you! My daughter enjoyed this though I had a hard time sitting in that steam for long, it was hot. The indoor pool was much, much smaller than it looks in photos - I was disappointed as there was no where to sit around the indoor pool while she swam. There were maybe 3 chairs and always taken, and very little room around the area and pool with kids became very crowded. There is a restaurant and arcade but we did not use either. They do have DVDs and books you can borrow in the office and we did that one day.

Finally on the last day of our stay, the weather was sunny and high 60s. My daughter swam in the outdoor pool as it was heated (still too cold for me!) and I was able to lounge by the pool - it's a small area and I am sure in summer seating would be limited but it was fine for this time of year.

The view was gorgeous from our room because there are no high-rises across the street - just open beach and a little playground area that we'd loved to have used but weather didn't allow.

Parking is sparse - there's a parking garage and spaces are very tight, be careful.

Not sure if we'd stay here again but our stay was fine and prices were good. Go through the hotel to book not another agency!

Room Tip: Book through Forest Dunes not a VRBO rental agency!

On behalf of the Forest Dunes Property Owners Association, we’d like to thank you for taking the time to provide additional information in response to our questions. No matter how a unit is booked, we want to ensure anyone staying at Forest Dunes has an excellent experience.
The unit’s owner addressed your concerns with their rental management company to make sure linens will be provided for their listing unless declined by the guest. Different rental management companies handle linens differently, but it’s everyone’s goal to avoid mistakes whenever possible.
We also appreciate when guests give us feedback on ways to improve. The owners association has added many amenities to the resort as a result of guest suggestions over the years, and we will definitely look at enhancing our indoor pool area seating in the near future.
While we wish everything had gone smoothly, we appreciate knowing there was a problem; it’s the only way sometimes to make sure something doesn’t happen again.
And, we are very glad to hear you enjoyed the condo and much of what the resort has to offer, despite less than perfect weather and some things that unfortunately took away from your overall experience.

First time in Myrtle Beach and my family and I made a great choice with Forest Dunes. It is away from a lot of the crowds but still close enough to everything. The beach is directly in front of you. Pool(s) were always clean, staff is friendly, informative and WONDERFUL! We stayed in a one bedroom corner unit on the 6th floor GREAT view and clean with everything you need for a vacation right down to puzzles and books. Would recommend to all for a relaxing beach vacation.

Room Tip: Talk to Billy he will not give you bad advice!

This was the first time my family has ever stayed here & we will definitely be back. The hotel staff were so sweet & very helpful. We loved our room it was perfect! We were so lucky we had 2nd floor room(which was great bc we have toddler who hates long elevator rides) & could see the ocean from our balcony. Oceanfront hotel that is very reasonably prices!

My husband and I stayed in room 906 at forest dunes from July 22 to July 27. Location is wonderful, it's located at a quieter area of nOrth MB. We booked a ocean view king suite. The view from the balcony was stunning. Some of the cons we experienced were, our bed was very hard and uncomfortable, like sleeping on a rock. Also upon our checkout we waited for an elevator for over 30 minutes. They only have 2 small elevators for 18 floors. I would recommend forest dunes to anyone who wants a quite , laid back stay.

Thank you for choosing Forest Dunes. We are glad to hear you enjoyed your stay and we thank you for telling us where we can improve. We will be sure to check the bed to see if a new mattress needed. We are sorry you had to wait so long for an elevator, average wait times are not bad, but we get a few complaints during certain peak times when everyone attempts to use the elevators at the same time. We really appreciate you and hope to see you again. Please keep in touch with us on facebook where you will find pictures and our weblog to share with your family and friends. Have a great summer - we wish you the very best!
