In 2013 I coordinated a school field trip and we went to Amici's for lunch. This year when I made the field trip plans, Amici's was again on the agenda and I don't regret it for a moment. It's refreshing to be able to plan an overnight trip for over 20 kids and know they are going to enjoy the food and atmosphere. The kids were overwhelmed with the selections, the chaperones were also. Our servers Jake & Robin were out of this world. Amici's will always be my first choice for any field trips to Myrtle Beach. It's almost like visiting family when you enter. Everyone is happy you arrive.

It's out of season, it's unusually cold, and we and another party are the only ones in the place. One could expect a little complacency in these conditions, so we didn't have great expectations. We couldn't have been more pleasantly surprised. Our waitress, Candace, was quite personable and she was also efficient, helpful, and enthusiastic about the food here.

I have dietary restrictions, and the menu was difficult for me to order from. So when I asked about some special considerations for changes to their dishes, they were more than happy to accommodate me with understanding and good humor. So I ended up with the tortalini with an aglia olio sauce rather than the cream sauce as described on the menu. It was delicious. I also had an excellent cup of pasta e fagioli. My wife had the meatballs and spaghetti and a salad. She loved it.

We were paid a lot of positive attention and we felt that the owner/chef was serious and passionate about his food. You wouldn't think that at this location in these conditions you could find authentic Italian prepared expertly and with care. Another place we have to come back to.

Dear Bob,

We are honored by your comments regarding your dining experience with us- thank you.

It is gratifying to learn that our desire to please is recognized; Chef Jim's professionalism as well as his willingness to accomodate are excellent examples of our goal to treat you like a member of our family.

You touched on the incongruity of our focus on detail in relation to our Broadway at the Beach location. Three families became partners in 2012 and decided that we would operate a quality Italian restaurant according to how we wanted to be treated despite being in a seasonal high volume location where a lesser standard may be the more of a norm. This reasonable goal has led our guests on Tripadvisor to rank us number one of all restaurants at Broadway, and the number one pizza restaurant in all of Myrtle Beach.

Please introduce yourself on your next vist; we will look forward to having you as a member of our family.

Very sincerely yours,

Blake, Chuy, Chris, Jim, Jake, & Quinn

We stopped in to eat after finding the restaurant that we planned to go to wasn't open until 4 p.m. The menu looked good and the prices were right so in we went. We were seated in a sunny booth and our friendly server Dustin came over almost immediately and was pleasant and efficient. He took our orders quickly and checked back often to see how everything was. He was busy that day but made sure to check with us often. Our dishes were good too and we were in and out within 45 minutes. One thing that this restaurant does that every place serving Italian cusine should do is to offer warm sliced bread with olive oil and parmesan. This is a healthy, low cost appetizer that keeps the customer busy until the entrees arrive. Dustin, I hope that your manager reads this and gives you a raise.
