“Wonderful place to stay, lots of pools”
Reviewed November 4, 2012

We did a girls trip in May and rented a two bedroom in the South Tower. We rented from a private owner. All units are different from private owners as far as kitchen supplies, towells, sheets, and patio furniture, tv, etc. A lot of owners will negotiate the price too.
The grounds are kept up very nice, many pools to choose from, nice beach area where you can rent chairs, and also a good resturarant for hamburgers, etc. The South Tower is what we prefer because the boardwalk to the beach is closer and you have more pools in the area. Choose one closer to the beach for a better view or you will end up with only a glance of the ocean. Very good place for children because of all the activities every day. Ice machines were never empty and the gift shop had lots of last minute things you might need. Even beach chairs! Would recommend for anyone looking for a nice place.

Room Tip: Higher floors have better ocean views.

This property in Myrtle Beach is away from the downtown craziness ssection of MB, However it is an excellent place to stay.

I had a 2 bedroom unit with balcony and oceanview. The oceanview is equivalent to oceanfront from Villa 3 build and most other buildings Villas 1,2,3 and North and south towers.

Room very nicely appointed, with master bedroom having full bath. Second full bath is near front door across from second bedroom. Master Bedroom had kingsize bed

Decent sized kitchen with granite. rooms were spotless and eds very comfortable. higher than usual quality linen.

Flat screen TV in bedrooms and living room sitting area.

Pools and hot tubs near each building.

you will need your car to go to anything else nearby ie grocery, attractions , etc.

Very quiet area

Satisfactory WIFi service,, no problems signing on.. they give you access code with room key envelope.

This Wyndahm property is intermingle with some private owners of the Sea Watch resort.Only difference really is that owners can have pets while Wyndham users can not bring pets

In the North Tower they have a breakfast buffet, al I can say it is convenient to eat there, just average buffet style b'fast unless you get made to order eggs. For better taste and quality I would drive the 2 miles and go to one of the pancake breakfast places, food is better and also cheaper

Room Tip: Ask for North Tower if any available

We have been staying at Seawatch 2 or 3 times/year for over 10 years. We enjoy everything about the place except the fact that they can't seem to rectify their unsatisfactory wifi situation. It has always been slow since they have had it, but we just returned from 4 nights with no wifi in our unit. We had to take our laptop/iPad to the lobby to get on line and then it was slow. When we complained, we were offered the phone number of Time-Warner (their wifi provider)! Seriously? I think the problem is something Seawatch needs to address with their provider - not ask their guests to trouble shoot with TW. I hate to do it since this resort is near everything that we enjoy, but we may begin looking at other options in the future. (We are electronic junkies, but not ready to enter a rehab program just yet.)

Room Tip: We stayed in an end unit #601 North Tower. It was spotless, well-furnished and quiet - just couldn...

Back to the SeaWatch again this year and a little disapointed.
The first unit we were given had not been cleaned at all and har rotting fruit in a cupboard.
The second although far from wonderful was o.k..
Both the fridge and dishwasher had visible rust spots all over them. The stove was "just" o.k.
Most of the doors to the units on our floor and two others I looked at had rust on them. They did not look good. A coat of paint would do wonders.
That's the bad stuff.

Now the good stuff
The living room and bedroom furnishing had been replaced and were great. The TV was new and there was a dvd player for our use.
The staff were as usual just great. Friendly helpful and generaly nice to deal with.
The common areas are as good as ever, pool and Tkik Bar good and the parking just fine.
We had the breakfast every day and loved it.

We have stayed at the SeaWatch several times and this is the first year I have had a complaint.
There are appliances that need to be replaced and a lot of simple cosmetic fixups to be done.
We will give The SeaWatch another try next year and I hope things chang by then.
We very much like the place and would like to keep returning.

Room Tip: Be aware that just because you request a certain room or room setup ie. two queens or a king, you wi...

Second time at the hotel and second time in an ocean front double bed room with full kitchen. We got a fantastic deal on the room and we're able to save money by getting out food for the week at the nearby Walmart. The room was ridiculously big, way too big for a couple (could have slept 6 people) but we didn't complain!
The breakfast buffet was surprisingly delicious!
You have to pay for beach chairs, so I suggest you bring your own!
In September the waves are a little rough, so be weary, but I still spent the entire time in the water... I took it as an opportunity to work out ;)
Also a 10 minute drive from the boardwalk and from alot of cool attractions (near Celebrity Circle).
One thing about Myrtle Beach, there's never a shortage of things to do!!

Made reservations to this property (North Tower) this last July for our first trip to this site, have stayed at another hotel our previous 8 trips to Myrtle Beach. At that time, I told the reservation representative that I did not want double beds, but a king bed (hotel website listed King or Double Beds) and was told that won't be a problem and the reservation was (supposedly) made for a King room. Well, when I get there to check in, there were no king beds available (I would not consider that a "No Problem" situation). They said they could give us a king the next day, so we spent the first day of our vacation living out of the suitcases and sleeping in separate beds- not very fun. The double bed room was not very clean or in that great shape. Also, the walls are paper thin- could hear snoring and other noises I choose not to share with you, next door- PLEASE!!! The king room the next day was much better, but the property was downright disgusting in places. The railings along the halls and edges of furniture people had touched had that greasy kind of dirt and grime that you do not want to touch. Even the Maitre d' counter in the dining room was disgustingly dirty...YUCK!!!! Why hasn't anyone with a spray bottle of cleaning solution at least attempted to clean this property? Also, vacuuming the elevators and hallways would be a big plus.
The sad part is that we had visited this site to possibly purchase an ocean front efficiency unit but after seeing how unkept it was, decided to purchase somewhere else. The people were nice enough, and the pool area was very nice as well as the beach, but it is too bad the property does not have the will or staff to keep it cleaner (and by the way, we are not neat freaks but our bar is not set this low). There are other places we have stayed in Myrtle Beach (too bad I am not allowed to name them) that are kept up much better.

Room Tip: Try to get a room away from the elevators as the noise can be bothersome.

We have been time share owners at this location for 18 years and love it. We go to other hotels in the myrtle beach area and they can't compare to seawatch. We usually stay in villa 3 but upgrading on this trip and they put us in villa 1 on 9th floor. Great view and room.
Wish they had a few more activities or pool games- but probably difficult with all the different type of ownerships/guests at the facilities.
