The Marina Inn is located in North Myrtle Beach where things are a little more laid back. You can have a great relaxing time in the area or take a short 10 minute drive to the Boardwalk, so you have the best of both worlds. The rooms are very large and have a great setup. The rooms are very well kept as this is one of my biggest sticking points. All rooms have a beatiful no matter where you are located. the staff is very friendly and happy to help. I know why this is the #1 Hotel in Myrtle Beach.

We plan to return to the Marina Inn.
This would be our first pick when looking for a very nice, clean place to stay in Myrtle Beach.
We stayed on the third floor, Harbor Tower in a 2 bedroom. There was plenty of room for the four adults in our group. Marina Inn's website has a 360 degree view of the different rooms. The two bedroom website depiction was accurate.

Kitchen was complete with utensils etc such as a four slot bagel toaster and a 12 cup coffee maker. Beds were comfortable and the unit was very quiet. We liked the ceiling fans; there were three. Even the balcony sliding doors had a large grip on the right side of the door to help open/close any of the three sliding doors easily. Three balconies, one main and one for each bedroom. Bath Towels were oversized and plush and sheets etc were very nice. All three televisions worked well but were the older tube type flat screen. Would have liked to have seen newer LED screen tvs in the room and larger screened tvs in Reflections and the pool bars. Could have used a better sounding radio in the room.

There is an indoor pool and outdoor pool with spas. The pool bar also serves food. We liked the crab quesadillas They take your order at your chair and bring the order to you. You could sit at the bar if you preferred. We thought it was nice because the wait staff was not " pushy " but there when needed. Background music played through ground speakers placed in the shrubs all over the place. It's also nice to know the indoor pool is open 24 hours, think the gym was too. If you want to swim or workout at midnight - go for it.

Elevators were clean, fast, and located in a good spot for travel between the room, restaurants, and pools.

There is a great jog/roller blade/ bike trail between the Marina and Hwy 17. Generally the area "appeared" safe and the trail does not cross any major roadway. If you wanted to take a very long walk you could easily go over to the beach via the very wide Grand Dunes walkways but you will have to cross two major roadways. We drove over to the beach - free parking. Marina Inn offers a shuttle to get you to the beach. This time of the year there was no umbrella service or food service at the beach but a short walk was fun.

Parking was plentiful. Valet is included in the resort fee.

Concierge lined up a tee time at Grand Dunes without a problem.

"Wow" is our conclusion!

Room Tip: Harbor tower is convenient to the resort amenities such as pools and restaurant.

My wife and I just returned from a beautiful stay at the Marina Inn. We stayed there on a Groupon deal for 3 nights. All I can say is first class all the way. Hotel staff from the valet bellmen to desk staff was awesome, attentive and extremely helpful. Room was nice and clean. View from the in room balcony of the inter-coastal was amazing. Breakfast at Waterscapes restaurant was delicious every morning, and service was excellent. Pool and all other amenities were very nice. Location was great and the beach access was a plus. We could not have asked for a better time to stay, the day after labor day seemed to have had the place all to ourselves. I would recommend this hotel to everyone I know.

The Marina Inn is a great resort located on the intercoastal waterway and off the strip in Myrtle Beach. Despite not being on the beach, it is within minutes of the heart of the strip, North Myrtle Beach as well as Broadway at the Beach. The sleeping rooms are very large with an extremely large bathroom. I recently stayed there again for business and it was a terrific experience. The staff is always extremely nice and helpful.

Our family had a great time at the hotel. From Check-in to check, to cleanliness, and service in the hotels food service...I would say that there was nothing that would keep us from returning in the future.

The accommodations, they were straight forward, the bathroom had a seperate shower and tub. The room also had a great view, we were on the back side away from the street with a water channel where you can see am occasional boat or jet-ski pass by.

We ate at the hotel's Waterscapes dinning room, the food there was always great. They had a kids menu with a lot of selections, and the wait staff usually had a good working knowledge of the evenings suggestions for food which we'd select a couple items from. Every bite was very tempting in nearly every selection we chose.

One key benefit is that the hotel is not far from the beach, they have a private bus which you can use to take back and forth between the beach and the hotel. If you have kids, like we do, it was an easy decision.
