This small, intimate restaurant, seating about 35 customers, is a gem. It evoked for my wife and I the great restaurants we visited in Germany during our three years there. We arrived at just after the opening time of 5:00 p.m. and the place was half full. So reservations are probably a must at this outstanding restaurant. We started with an Australian burgundy in a 1 liter bottle (which we carried back to the hotel for later) and then had bread and salad. Our entrees were schnitzel that we selected from a list of alluring Austrian specialties. The food was delicious, the service, by the owner (dressed appropriately in a dirndl) and the wait staff was constant and not at all overbearing.
