“yummy lunch!”

A nice ocean view is complimented by a friendly staff and delicious seafood. This place is certainly on my 'place to visit again' list. The menu was varied and reasonably priced.

“Broiled Seafood -- Think Again”
Reviewed May 13, 2014

Friendly waiters, do not take reservations, nice view: all true. Parking is convenient across the street. We had dinner at the recommendation of a local. I had the Seafood Platter -- shrimp, scallops, flounder and oysters. Sounded wonderful. The food was nicely arranged on the plate, but it was devoid of any seasoning or indication of searing, the first impression was "an all- white dish," the seafood looked like boiled. The piece of flounder was soggy, with skin still attached on the underside. Unfortunately the food tasted pretty much like it looked. The hushpuppies were unremarkable. The waiter reaffirmed that the bland taste and appearance was intentional for a broiled dish. My companion, on the other hand, was very happy with the special of the day: beef tips and shrimp over pasta. The martinis were good. I always order fried seafood platters, should have stuck with tradition.

“Authentic and the Best Option in MB!”
Reviewed May 11, 2014

Sea Captain's is a staple that's been around for generations of families having visited over the years. Although years have passed since I've gone, I enjoyed it just as well. They don't take reservations, so be prepared to wait and grab a drink at the bar for dinner. Even at 8:20pm midweek they said a 40 minute wait, so I got takeout. Doing seafood takeout takes talent, and Sea Captain's did not disappoint! I went back for lunch and tried the avocado/crab/shrimp salad and unfortunately had some bits of shell in the crab, so would not recommend this dish. Everything else is wonderful, though, it's a must-do in Myrtle!
