Not too crowded when we went for a late lunch on Sunday. Parking across the street was easily accessible. We were warmly greeted upon entering and was quickly taken to a lovely table with the wonderful view of the ocean. Nice soft guitarist & singer were performing in the front. Seafood was delicious and presented nicely. Prices were very reasonable for lunch. Try the bourbon chocolate pecan pie. Waitress was friendly and we were served with a smile! Will come back next trip back to MB!

While in Myrtle Beach we wanted to find a good but affordable fine dining restaurant that wasn't a buffet. Sea Captain's House was recommended and it was probably the highlight of our 4 day trip. From the moment we stepped into the restaurant we were greeted, seated, and offered a drink. Our wait time was enjoyable in their nautical themed supper club bar. When seated, our server, Derrin (not sure if that was his name) was excellent and saw to our needs before we knew we had needs and the chef and cook staff should be commended because the food was awesome. My steak was cooked to perfection and my husbands shrimp...to die for. Put the restaurant on your itinery when visiting Myrtle Beach. (also a surprise visit from Jon Boener. Our government only likes the best so what does that tell you! LOL)

This is the place to go for an intimate night out, romantic or not. Lots of people going as well, so more than likely you will have to prepare for a wait, but they do accept reservations. It is right on the beach and I believe that every seat, minus the waiting area has a view of the ocean. There is a bar to get some drinks or wine if you are waiting or enjoy spirits during your meal. It is a bit pricey, so you'll be naive if you think you can eat for $40 or less unless you eat just appetizers and they offer a bunch of things there where it would just be silly to just eat appetizers. The She Crab soup is too die for! Bowl or cup, worth getting this before your meal.

Salads before every meal, the house dressing is an herb vinaigrette and it was OK but it didn't have a lot of flavor. Fresh seafood and food that tasted like it was prepared with cooking talent. I had the 50th anniversary special, which was Shrimp Creole, shrimp in a tomato sauce with green peppers over rice, it was pretty good, regret not trying something else but it was lovely. My girlfriend had crab cakes, they were awesome, I tried a bite, they weren't just filler, very minimal and mostly just tasty crab. The dessert menu was good, all homemade, they had a Hot Fudge Cake, which is what we had. Pretty awesome!

Overall the food was amazing, a little pricey, but definitely worth the try!

This was only our second time to eat at this restaurant. Both times we came for lunch. The clam chowder is the best that we have tasted from Woods Hole on the way to the Vineyard all the way across the country to the coast of Oregon at Moe's Seafood on the water!
We sat on the porch overlooking the water - just a wonderful relaxing lunch. The sandwiches that we had were very large and oh so good. Our waiter could not have been any better. Advice - get there early unless you enjoy waiting. This is a restaurant that many locals enjoy and is always busy.
