We visited AG from the last two trips to MB. Decided this where we wanted to spend our anniversary. Fortunate to have received some hilton dollars as part of our rewards program. Very excited when we saw AG was part of the hilton program so we made a reservation. Very crowded due to a golf course convention of some sort. Service was very rushed and in the end the server was very condescending. Big charge for the special of the night in which the lobster dish (aspen style) was like rubber by the time it got to the table. My dish, the special of the night, was well done and worth the money. The owner was on site and visited with everyone except us. He must have known we were not locals as the locals group at the bar were getting all of the attention and all of the best pours. Our wine pours were not anything like the bar group. I understand that though, locals keep the place going during off season times. Lots of choices for dining in MB for special occasions and we chose AG, it won't happen again.

If you're wanting an exceptional dinner for a special occasion, this is THE place in Myrtle Beach to go. It is a breath of fresh air compared to other MB eateries. The atmosphere is sophisticated but not stuffy.
Our waiter Cade was helpful in recommending wine pairings. We never felt like we got different service because of our age (a problem at many other high-end restaurants).
The live jazz player was wonderful, the service was prompt, and the fooooood!
I had the rack of lamb and my husband had the crab cakes, both were delicious!
Best dining experience we've had in a long time!

We remembered the Aspen Grill from a previous visit to MB and were even more delighted with this most recent experience. A terrific jazz guitarist played softly in the background the entire time we were there, no breaks. We sat at the cozy bar before dinner and enjoyed Happy Hour discounts on our wine. The bartender was very friendly; locals obviously love this place, too, as evidenced by the banter.
Menu prices are generally in the mid $20s to low $30s. Both my small filet and my husband's strip steak were cooked perfectly and of excellent quality. Both came with fresh asparagus and carrots; we split an order of very good sautéed potatoes.
Service was friendly and well paced. We'll be back next visit for sure.

We ate there our first night and tried 2 other restaurants, then ate there next 4 nights...it is that good!
We ate at the bar and Skully is a knowledgeable bartender, knows the menu and guided us to fabulous meals 5 times.
Chef-owner, Curry, has varied menu and he is very talented.
Nice wine list and ambiance too.

Fresh! The chef here works to serve up the finest local seafood and produce. By far the best food I have ever eaten in Myrtle Beach. Make reservations!
