“A Nice Change of Pace”
Reviewed April 24, 2014

With all of the below average dining choices in this town it is hard to find something real and authentic. The food here was surprisingly good. The tacos with chorizo and al pastor pork were very flavorful and the portions were large. The chorizo actually had some good heat. The service was friendly and helpful. A good experience in this tacky town.

“What a disaster!!”
Reviewed April 23, 2014

First, let me say the restaurant is beautiful inside! One person in our party is highly allergic to shellfish so when we order food we always ask for them to be sure that there is absolutely no contact with her food. I ordered the steak quesadilla and when it arrived it was full of shrimp!!!!! Then another person in our party found a black hair in her food, it was also sent back but she was so disgusted she asked them to just pack it to go. If you like soup don't eat here, there is none on the menu. Our waitress was polite and did fix the mistakes but she was very slow on refilling our tea and when we asked for to go cups it took forever. We only left a 3 dollar tip because of all of this and apparently it outraged our waitress, she chased us out the door into the foyer and started yelling at us and asking what she did wrong. At first I was like what are you talking about????? I thought she was insinuating that we did not leave any tip, then she said why did you only leave me three dollars, you can't blame me for the mistakes in the back. My friend spoke up and said she was partly responsible, she should check the orders before they are brought to the table to be sure they are correct and without hair!! My friends husband is in the restaurant business and they do require that the waitresses do check the orders as well. We also explained that she was slow on getting our refills and the restaurant was not very busy. This was a very loud and embarrassing confrontation and we were very upset when we left! Needless to say, we will not be back to this restaurant next time we visit Myrtle Beach!!!!

“seafood fajitas”
Reviewed March 30, 2014

Enjoyed the seafood fajitas - shrimp, scallops, fish. Good stuff. Family friendly. Deserves to be busier, but don't miss the crowds.

“Suitably impressed”
Reviewed March 28, 2014 via mobile

Pulled into the parking lot and almost pulled out before going in because it looked too empty to be delicious.
SO GLAD WE DIDN'T!
The service was quick, from the time we were seated to the time we were served. The staff was on top of beverage refills and the chips and salsa while we were waiting were delicious .... homemade and fresh.
Our meals came quickly.
We ordered the churipollo & the Grande special (which was huge/came on two huge plates) and we were suitably impressed. Everything tasted authentic and delicious. We split our played with our toddler daughter who loved every bit of her meal. The guacamole was fantastic.
Reasonably priced, large portions, friendly and expedient staff and most importantly, the food was amazing. My husband is a big purveyor of Mexican cuisine and walked away loosening his belt.
Don't be detered by what's not in the parking lot!
