This restaurant has the potential to be so much better than it is. What a shame. The view is really nice, and the restaurant interior is comfortable and has an engaging decor.
We had lunch at this restaurant today and we were stunned by the unpleasant vibe and poor service. The waitress was pleasant initially, but very stressed by her inability to wait on the four tables she was apparently assigned. We waited almost 50 minutes for a burger and a quesadilla with no acknowledgement of the length of time, or offers of beverage refills during that time. When we finally did get our meal, the waitress simply stated that there were 5 quesadilla orders before ours and that was was took so long..... really? No Mexican restaurant I have ever been to ever says this or takes this long! The waitress got into an altercation with the guests at another table which became heated, and then the waitress burst into tears and spent the rest of our visit crying. When we called a manager to our table to let him know we had not received our food, he tried to argue with us, saying we had not been waiting that long. There was no apology, nothing. I knew exactly what time we ordered as we had a busy day and I looked at my clock right when we ordered, hoping it wouldn't take long. The whole vibe in the restaurant was that the staff could care less about the guests who had come to dine. The manager was not even helping the staff, but spent most of the time standing around chatting with servers who could have been doing their jobs.
The food was average. The lobster quesadilla's presentation was not impressive and the flavor was ok, not great. The burger was large and good tasting but not worth the wait.
We are locals and would have frequented this restaurant often had we not gotten the impression that neither the server, nor the manager, nor the kitchen staff is interested in repeat business or favorable recommendations.
