We enjoyed every aspect of our week-long stay at this impressive complex and we would definitely return. The villa accommodation was first-rate: clean, spacious and well-appointed, with all of the amenities of home. We appreciated the quiet seclusion of this property which is located in a lovely residential area, just far enough from the hustle and bustle of Myrtle Beach. The grounds are very attractive and well-maintained, with all of the facilities just a short walk from our villa. The two outdoor pools are remarkable and the indoor pool (part of the fitness centre) is handy for parents with small children who do better in a quiet environment. The beach is among the best that we have experienced. The staff keep it clean and supervised and the wet sand is very easy to walk on if you like to stroll. For groceries, try the Food Lion; it's close, quiet and has everything. The only irritant of our stay was the 90-minute wait for our villa. So many people arrive at the same time that housekeeping staff can't cope with such a large turnover between the 10:00 a.m. check-out and the 4:00 p.m. check-in. The villas have no maid service during your stay, so you can imagine the amount of cleaning required to make certain that the units are spotless! The delay is made much easier by the fact that, even though your villa isn't ready, you are given access to all of the facilities. It's an ideal time to wander around and become familiar with the property or put on your suits in the change area and enjoy the pools and the beach.

Room Tip: Request a higher floor for the view but don't spend extra for an ocean-front unit; the views are...

This is by far the nicest and highest quality place you can stay in the Grand Strand. I stayed here a long time ago recently was able to enjoy the property again as a local and they have really outdone themselves. The 5 towers are like a city of it's own, and the now have all the amenities you could possibly need. The staff is very helpful, and they really make you feel at home. The highest quality on the beach, hands down.

We stayed in a garden view room in the maple building on the 6th floor. The rooms are spacious, well furnished, and clean. The kitchen has everything you need to cook a meal - if that is what you want to do. We loved it.

We had tried to get into this property for 3 years and were unable to until the points system. Check in was fine, we got an oceanside room in a great building closest to the beach. We were a little early and they offered to put is in another building further away but said this was worth the wait and it was. We are owners at another resort and have stayed in many properties. I was worried about it being a high rise, elevators being crowded, etc. That was not the case. They said they were booked 100% and I never saw or heard anyone on our floor or had to wait for an elevator. The villas are smaller than the usual 2 BR in other places but plenty of room. The lobby and main building are very nice. Staff was all very friendly and helpful. The only complaints that we had were #1, the beach is so crowded that your rented chairs are literally on top of one another. I could reach my hand and touch the chair of the people next to us. Not what I like on the beach. Second, the chairs at the pool. This happens everywhere and they implemented a new system with name tags which I believe makes it far worse. People reserve chairs and never show up. Annoying! Otherwise, we liked it. We love Hilton Head and weren't sure about Myrtle Beach but it was fun. Lots to do with kids, very touristy if you like that. we saw the Cirque show which was actually very good. Broadway at the Beach was definitely fun, my son loved the Nascar. We would definitely go back.

As MVCI owners, we have the ability to trade our week here which we have done--once. OceanWatch is perfect for our family of 4. The accomodations are spacious, and the bathrooms are huge! Location is perfect. Pool is between the beach and the villas. There's a bar which also serves food. On the bottom floor near the pool is a market so you don't have to leave the complex for milk or necessities. And there's a Starbucks! Activities every day--perfect for elementary school children! I have attended jewelry making and wine glass painting classes. I used to be the kind of vacationer who would go out for the evening. Now, I like to nest. With all the amenities (especially the pool bar) there's no reason to venture out.

Terrific front desk staff. Good concierge service. Beautiful grounds. Spotlessly clean. And the rooms are so quiet. Five stars for the Oceanwatch facility and staff. Only negative belongs to the Lack's beach rental service. The umbrellas you rent overlap, so you don't even get a full umbrella width as your space. Since the space on either side of the line of umbrellas is open, it's hard to figure why they don't spread them just a bit. I'd even pay more for some extra room.

We stayed here 07/09-07/16/11 in a two bedroom/two bath villa in the Woodsy Meadows villas building. Check in was fast. We got in around 7 pm. The room was awesome. My boys (ages 6 & 8) loved having their own room/bathroom/TV. There is also a TV in the living area and master bedroom. The master has a bathroom and large jacuzzi tub that we never used. The kitchen has everything you need in it. The view from the room was awesome. Your view is of the main builing, the Marriott hotel, and the beach. We loved keeping the balcony door open and feeling the beach breeze. You also have a view of the 3rd pool which is more of a children's pool that has a water play area and a water slide. They have 2 pools at the main building an upper and lower pool. The children's pool with slide (adults can swim there too), and an indoor pool. We only swam at the children's pool the entire stay. They also have a grill at this pool and a bar at the upper and lower pool. The resort also has a playground, grills throughout the property, volleyball sand court, basketball court, outdoor pool tables, foosball tables, shuffle board, and bocce ball to keep you busy. They also have daily activities for children, adults, and families. We loved the poolside movies where you can swim at night while watching a movie. A grocery store is within minutes of the resort. You can also go up a ways to the Wal Mart Super Center to shop. The outlets are about 10 minutes north of the resort. This is an awesome resort with a great location You are only about 10 minutes from Broadway at the Beach. I will definitely be back.
