This was a beautifully kept property. The staff was extremely friendly, and helpful. The room was immaculate and I loved the balconies with the sliding glass doors---it was great to do work and be able to hear the ocean with the sliding door open. The room service breakfast was great, the valets were also fun and helpful. The pool area with the loungers and hammocks were also a wonderful touch. And the beds have been the best beds I have slept in--in any lodging facility in 2 years thoughout my business travels (this includes 2 different Gaylord Resorts).

This Hotel/Resort restored our faith in Myrtle Beach! The cleanest, most gorgeous decor we have seen in MB.Totally non-smoking,1st class service by all employees, beautiful grounds and pools. They bring you a chunk of gourmet chocolate at bedtime,a piece for each person, shaped like a starfish.Very nice robes in the rooms, they are so plush.I cant say enough about this place, and its also on the very clean end of the beach.Almost near residential neighborhoods.Close to Dixie Stampede. You need to stay here, you will be glad you did!

We stayed at the Marriott after driving to Charleston and finding out that our cruise was cancelled. Thus, we decided to drive up to Myrtle Beach. For our first trip to Myrtle Beach we had a blast!

The hotel (interior and exterior) was in perfect condition. We had an ocean view room, which was a real treat. Though, we didn't eat at the restaurants, we did order room service every night, which was superb! The indoor pool and hot tub were an excellent way to unwind after a long day, though they were sometimes overwhelmed with young ones.

For internet access in your room it's $9.99 per day though you could use computers and printers in the business center free of charge. There is also limited access in public areas of the hotel.

As with most Marriott’s the beds are superb and parking is free!

If we ever find ourselves back in Myrtle Beach we will definitely stay here again!

My husband and I stayed at Grand Dunes during the after Christmas break when we typically travel. This year, we had to stay close to home. I was not excited about my umpteenth trip to MB. Great place, but enough is enough.

Until now. The Marriott is a class act, and a little different than your typical MB fare. The "Bar" was very nice, and the food and service excellent. We did not eat in the restaurant. The hotel is beautiful, interior and exterior, with top notch Marriott service. The pools are gorgeous and the design of the oceanfront pools and deck reflect something much classier that your standard MB fare. There are myriad outside relaxing opportunities, including endless lounges and adirondack chairs, and a lot of hammocks.

You can self park for free. Beds are typically sumptious, and the views from the upper floors are terrific. The only downer is the limited free wireless access, only in the lobby and other special places. C'mon guys.

This time of year is great because the weather is good and the price terrific. Its located on the north end of Myrtle, a much nicer area. You're close to shopping, restaurants and of course, golf.

It is a nice little oasis in the business of the Grand Strand.

We stayed here from Christmas to the New Year. Make sure you request an Oceanfront room.....especially a corner room! There aren't many oceanfront rooms so be sure to reserve early. You must enjoy the Hibiscus Spa while here.....fabulous spa treatments with a lovely steam and sauna. We only had breakfast at the hotel and enjoyed our meals at the restaurants around the town. City Bar, Collectors Cafe and Sea Blue are not to be missed! You can't go wrong with this hotel!

Long story, but somehow I wound up in Myrtle Beach, my flight was running too late to make my connection in Atlanta to get to Indiana, so rather than fly to Atlanta, spend the night in my own bed, and then fly to Indiana the next morning, I opted to spend the night in Myrtle Beach. I called the Marriott 800#, asked for the closest hotel, and the operator told me to forget the nearest hotel and head out to Grande Dunes. If anyone ever runs into that anonymous operator, please thank her for me.

What a great hotel! The rooms - awesome. The room balcony - more awesome! I sat out there listening to the ocean half the night. The pools - great! The lobby - comfortable and inviting. Parking - easy and ample. The beach - beautiful. The people - helpful and enthusiastic.

Everything exceeded my expectations in this hotel. I cannot wait to go back!

The Marriott Resort at Grand Dunes is by far the best resort my family has ever stayed at in the Continental US! You will feel like you are at a super-exclusive resort in the Carribbean, almost forgetting that this kind of superior service and quality can still be had in a town like Myrtle Beach, which is prone to disappointments. Myself, my husband, and our 6-yr old daughter and 4 1/2 yr old son stayed here in an Oceanfront suite for a wonderful 5 days in July of 2006. We will be back next year to enjoy the Super clean rooms, awesome pool and waterslide which my kids LOVED! The rooms are so clean, with the most comfortable bed you will ever sleep in at a hotel, good pillows too! We did not once hear our neighbors or their TV, not even doors closing next to us.
Food was great, although we did not eat dinner on the property even once. The Surfside Cafe right next to the pool area, seemed a little pricey, but the convenience was well worth it and the food was surprisingly really good for lunch or snacks, with things like jumbo dill pickles and gourmet potato chips; the kids meal comes in a sandbucket that they can use later! Quick poolside drink service also. We were fortunate to have free breakfast coupons for each morning's buffet; we opted to use it for room service and not expecting much (cold eggs are hard to prevent!) we were once again blown away not only by the food but by the service! We ended up getting room service every morning of our 5-night stay. You will not mind tipping anyone at this place - they EARN it, they don't just EXPECT it.
We did rent the beach chairs/umbrella for 3 days, which they set up for you every morning, but the pool was so great we hardly went to the beach for more than an hour every morning/afternoon. The pool waterslide is really impressive for a hotel and the line was never more than maybe a minute or two wait time, which is important for little kids who don't like to wait.
I can' t say enough about how great this place was. We are coming back next year...and bringing friends.
