Perfect location, loads of room and incredibly kept. Staff was very helpful. Dining shows and shopping are still in swing even after high season. Did I mention the golf course outside?

This was the perfect place to bring the whole family. Luxury with lots of room and everything needed right nearby. Ocean, Broadway at the Beach great restaurants and entertainment all within a mile. Golf is right outside. This was a unanimous hit.

Went to MB on a guys golf getaway and Myrtlewood Villas was suggested as an alternative to just a regular hotel. It was the best move ever. Fantastic place attached to the Country Club . It was living large for the price of a hotel room. Plenty of room and right in the middle of everything and I shot great.

This property has got to be Myrtle Beach's best kept secret. We stayed in a beautiful 2 bedroom / 2 bath villas with incredibly kept grounds in the perfect location in Myrtle Beach and it is attached to a world class golf course. This property is beautifully maintained inside and out provides enough room for the whole family at the price of a regular hotel room. Word is that Myrtlewood Villas is increasing in popularity and getting reservations during peak seasons can be difficult. We will be back.

The furniture was stained and shabby, the carpets were badly stained. The kitchen was poorly equipped and the paintwork in the whole apartment was in poor condition. On top of this they had a problem with cockroaches. All in all the worst accommodation I have ever stayed in in America and it wasn't cheap. Never again.

It could not have been said any better, than the previous post. I went on line and researched and read about this property for weeks. I booked my stay in March 07. Arrived August 10th and left the 17th.

On the 11th the baseball team arrived and you could not get any rest, at least 5 boys in the room. I was on the 2nd floor and they were on the 3rd floor. It sounded like they were playing football all night long. Banging and thumping and shaking the ceiling. I called security at 2:30am, and they were still going strong at 4:30. The next day it was all day long. The banging and thumping, it sounded like they where going to come through the ceiling. I drove up to check-in and tried to file a complaint after making 2 or 3 phone calls, that went unanswered. I spoke to a supervisor and she told me, that between 10a-10p there is nothing they can do. I had to call security numerous times that week. It never really helped.

I tried to explain to her, that I did not pay all the money for a week stay to have to listen to noise like that all week. I tried to explain that I had a 8 month old daughter that was getting no rest and it seemed like they could careless.

I could not tell if these kids were supervised or not. I would say not, if they are going let them act that way all hours of the night. This was by far one of my worst Myrlte Beach experiences and I've going the last 15+ years.

I also had an ant problem in my kitchen area and roaches outside the unit. I wonder if the owners know how there property is being treated?

We have been to Myrtlewood now for the past five years and it USED to be a great place to go and relax. We went this year, however, and it was the WORST vacation ever.

What's changed you ask? Check some of the other reviews and you'll notice a new tie-in with Ripken Baseball Tournaments. This meant that the entire place was overrun with teenage thugs who had no regard for anyone but themselves.

Myrtlewood was designed as a golf resort, not a family resort. There are no activities for small children on the property other than the pools and these were not designed to hold the huge numbers of people who overloaded them when players and families decided to have their "block parties" every other night. (If you are not affiliated with these groups, you will be very alienated by them.)

Any sense of peace and relaxation that may have been here at one time was ruined by teenaged boys. These boys could not get in the pool without throwing a ball of some sort and when they were playing a game, they did not care who got in their way, even small children.

Security had to be called multiple times by multiple people because apparently these kids have been raised to believe that rules do not apply to them. They made noise at all hours and snuck into the pool whenever they could after hours despite clearly posted signs all around.

Note that these tournaments are not a one week thing. Multiple tournaments run every week for months and months, especially in the summer.

If you are looking for a place to relax, do not go here while these tournaments are going on. If you have been here and enjoyed it before this summer, DO NOT GO BACK. The place that you remember is long gone.

If you are going for the tournaments, I am sure you will enjoy destroying what used to be a very pleasant place to vacation.
