We go to Myrtle Beach at least once a year and wanted to stay in a different area this year to explore other parts of the area. We chose Best Western Plus because of it's reviews and its indoor pool. The hotel in actually in two buildings, one on the beach and one across the street. I requested the oceanfront building since that's where the indoor pool is. We were visiting during Bike Week, but we weren't there FOR Bike Week so we were concerned about the extra traffic and possible rowdiness. But our room was very quiet and the bikers were courteous drivers and neighbors. We had a wonderful room on the first floor with direct access to the beach, but our view from the balcony was so good and the rockers were so comfortable we were content right there. The pool area was very clean and I was easily able to get in my laps. The continental breakfast is excellent and the staff is very helpful and friendly. I highly recommend this hotel.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel during Myrtle Beach Bike Week and were completely satisfied. The staff was great, the room was great, it was clean, and the complimentary breakfast was great. I'm somewhat of a coffee snob, prefer dark roasts, and even the coffee was great. The owner was continually on the property, wandering around mingling with guests, and checking to see how everything went. We were very pleased.

Room Tip: If you're there for Myrtle Beach bike week they have rooms right on Ocean Blvd with a great ocea...

You need to ask to stay in the building on the dune facing the sea, otherwise you are on the other side of the steet and forget sea view. Fairly neat, rooms clean, good mattresses, towels were rough, breakfast is in another building. Good variety. In a whole it's mostly OK, cause Myrtle Beach has a large quantity of old hotels.

My wife and I stayed here during the last week of April 2013 and had a very enjoyable stay. We booked a room on the 5th floor of their beach side buildings and found it to be very clean and quiet and while the parking is a little awkward at first, it worked out just fine. I also loved the soft bed as it made me feel like I was at home. Nice touch!

In the mornings, we walked across the street for breakfast and was warmly greeted by the staff behind the counter and the breakfast attendant. Special thanks to the lady who assists patrons with their breakfast, as she really seemed to care and was very pleasant. Breakfast presented the typical offerings, but I was not pleased with the texture of the eggs. They seemed to taste like eggs, but just didn't measure up at all. I would have preferred to see scrambled eggs instead, but can understand why they may not offer them.

The only thing that I would rate as less than stellar was the housekeeping. When our room was cleaned, the staff failed to pick a paper hotel notice that somehow dropped on the floor in the bathroom. Just leaving it there was not the right thing to do. They also didn't seem to care about how they replaced the towels. When we arrived, they were nicely presented but when the cleaned the room and replaced the towels, they were just casually placed in the bathroom. Not a big deal, but it was certainly noticeable when we returned to our room later in the day.

Overall, I would give this hotel 5-stars and will keep it as one of my top recommendations.

Room Tip: Beach side offers less rooms and are quieter from patron noise and road traffic. Also, they do offe...

Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review, and share your comments regarding your experience with my property. We do take guest's feedback very seriously, and so I want to notify you that we have now ordered scrambled eggs to include in our breakfast offerings. They should be here within a week. Also, I would like to take this opportunity to apologize for the lack of care housekeeping took in replacing your towels during your stay. Our policy is that the towels should be arranged in the same way that they are presented at check-in. My Head of Operations has, therefore, addressed the housekeeper who cleaned your room. I apologize that this aspect of your stay was anything less than exceptional. Again, thank you for your thoughtful feedback- it enables us to improve future guests' experiences.

We stayed here recently while on vacation in Myrtle Beach. It is a lovely property, well kept and very clean. Staff are very professional and courteous. We stayed in an oceanfront efficiency unit and were very pleased with the accommodations. The room was updated and very clean! Continental breakfast is included, which is nice, if you choose to partake. It includes the usual breakfast fare such as cereals, breads, waffles, eggs, sausage, biscuits with gravy, fruit, yogurt, juices and tea/coffee. One of the nicest places to stay while visiting Myrtle Beach! We would stay again when in the area.

Looking for a warm weather April 18th 5 day trip to Myrtle Beach, SC trip for three adults (parents and senior in college daughter.

We had a suite on the west side of the street facing the ocean. The lot on the ocean side of the street was vacant so we had a good view of the ocean and the suite on the second floor had a good size balcony. The hotel was great, water temp. in the pool ok but could have been a little warmer, breakfast was good and the staff very friendly.

Be cautious of the weather report advertised for Myrtle Beach. Everyday the advertised temp. was appx. 63 degrees high and it rained only one day, however, the actual real feel was probably high 40s to low 50s. There were not many people on the street during our visit and those hardy enough to take a walk had jackets on and hands in their pockets. Outside of arriving late the first day and seeing some sun, the rest of our stay had 90% gray skies, little to no sun to speak of, and the constant wind of 20-25 miles an hour (I'm not talking gusts) made it cold enough to wear a thick hoody or spring jacket (not a light windbreaker). Because we were at the ocean, we had to go to the beach at least a short time each day where my daughter had to try to get a little sun. She lay on the beach in her swim suit hoping for some sun and getting sand blasted. We sat in our chairs with our jackets on. The ocean looked great (not swimming temp) and was full of large breakers 90% of the time. Daughter wanted to go para-sailing but on the couple days she wanted to go, the weather was too bad so it didn't happen. On the better gray sky days, we noted only minor or no ocean water sport activity. There are a couple nice outlet malls that we went to to pass the time and we took a ride to North Carolina to sight see and had dinner at a nice restaurant (Boundary House Rest) which was next door to a large size Christmas shop (not as big a Frankenmuth, MI Christmas shop), but pretty big.

We also visited a large store just south of Myrtle Beach called Old Time Pottery. Evidently it is a chain store, however, we had never heard of it. If you are looking for home decorations, glassware and stuff like that, it is worth a short drive to check the place out. Some neat stuff worth the visit.

One day we took a slow sight seeing 2 hour drive to Charleston, SC. We had our best time there visiting Fort Moultier for a couple hours and then parking at the visitor center near the historic district. We had a long walk (shorts & tee shirt weather with minor breeze) into and around the historic district and the also had free trollies that you could take to get around (which we didn't use because they seemed crowded). Lots of restaurants in the downtown historic district so we had good lunch. Driving back to Myrtle Beach the familiar gray skies and wind appx one hour from the city.

Room Tip: Suite was large and beds very comfortable.
