The place was clean and the housekeeping did a great job, as well as the staff at the front desk..The most fun i had was at the BEACH BAR with Michelle she does a great job and knows how to take care of all people that walk in there, she deserves a raise for sure need more like that in a place that is just off the boardwalk. It is why i did stay at your place this time......

Room Tip: higher floors are a little less noisy, ocean front are the best....

Just returned from Myrtle Beach and this was my first time there. I am so glad we chose the Holiday Inn Pavillion! This is a beautiful hotel with a great view. The location cannot be beat if you want to be oceanfront and near all of the action on the boardwalk. Staff was pleasant and room was nice. The view from the balcony was wonderful. We were on the 6th floor. The only downside would be the noise from the pool if you are oceanfront. The pool doesn't close until 11pm so kids were out there yelling every night right up until it closed. If you want quiet I would suggest asking for a room on either end of the high rise tower as that might help with the noise a little. We were directly over the main outdoor pool near the center of the high tower.

They do seem to run late on having rooms ready for check-in so don't get there early. Housekeeping is very slow to get to the rooms during your stay too. There were several groups the day we got there that had to wait hours until their room was ready but not a huge issue.

Room Tip: High tower, if you want quiet then go for a higher floor on either end. Oceanfront views are amazin...

This was the second time my Husband and I stayed at The Holiday Inn at the Pavilion, both times we discussed coming back next year and staying there. We have never given any other hotel a thought, we found everything we needed or could want at The Holiday Inn at the Pavilion.
We have told all our friends what a great time we had and how close it is to everything. The cost for a hotel right on the beach was within our budget and didn't cut into money set aside for our other plans. The staff was wonderful and very helpful. We're sold and if at all possible will never make reservations at any other hotel in Myrtle Beach.

Room Tip: Our room was ocean front third floor and out side noise didn't bother us.

This was our first trip to Myrtle Beach so it was difficult without any guidance to choose a hotel, but reading ALOT of reviews helped, so I hope mine does the same. This hotel and its accommodations were exactly what they said it would be. The rooms were ok, clean, air conditioned with all the amenities promised. Limited but fulfilling continental breakfast. Access to the beach and boardwalk were literally steps outside the doors, and our private balcony was awesome, we couldn't hear anything that was happening in the evenings out front!
The problem was mostly with the other guests and lack of security/monitoring by the hotel. There were children unsupervised running around the pool areas, jumping on top of us, in front of us, no matter where we would move. We complained after HOURS of this, while their parents enjoyed MANY cocktails not paying an ounce of attention tom them. The front desk said they would have security pass through the area more. NEVER happened, we went to the pool 2 out of our 7 day stay, it was annoying and not relaxing to say the least. In addition, there were people smoking all over the pool area, DESPITE the signs stating it was a non smoking area. I happen to be allergic to cigarette smoke, so choosing a NON smoking hotel room with NON smoking amenities was important to us, obviously not to the hotel. I complained numerous times, almost every day, however only one time an employee told someone to stop smoking. So not only was there smoke everywhere, there were ashes and butts around the pool.. In addition, we were on a non smoking floor, and many times while on our balcony we were getting smoke coming through from other rooms.
If the hotel would actually patrol the common areas, and enforce control over the children of the guests, I would consider going back.

Room Tip: Efficiency King suite is perfect for a couple.

My husband, son and I have been coming to Myrtle Beach for years and this was our first time to Holiday Inn. Everyone was friendly and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. Rooms were super clean and roomy. Lots of things to do on the strip. Enjoyed our trip and will definitely go back. We are already planning our next year's vacation at the Holiday Inn at the Pavilion. Great job Holiday Inn!
