I was really nervous about the Hotel after i read some of the reviews on here but i have to say they were so wrong! They must of been expecting a million dollar hotel for the price they paid..you get what you pay for and you can see the location before you book the hotel...its RIGHT on the strip and right next to two major attractions. Don't book this hotel if you are looking for a super quiet beach vacation ITS COMMON SENSE! anyway- back to the review! We had called ahead and asked for a higher level room and when we checked in we were on the 8th floor. We booked a double bed oceanfront suite and loved it. The rooms are a bit narrow but its to be expected in an older tower hotel. The oceanfront view was AMAZING, beautiful views of the ocean, pier, and ferris wheel. The room was clean and put together, we arrived at 3 and did have to wait about 10 minutes to get our room because house keeping still had to inspect the room. The bathrooms are a little tight but not something that could ruin your stay. The pool and lazy river were wonderful and hardly ever had a ton of people..the most we saw were maybe 10. The bar outside is a little pricey but the drinks were good. We rented an umbrella on the beach from the lifeguard and it was only $30 dollars for all day with the chairs included. The beach was clean except for some cigerette butts but it did turn out to be Bike Week when we were there so a lot more smokers than usual i'm sure. It was also a lot louder because it was bike week. The only major complaint i have was the parking, which other people have complained about as well. We ended up parking on top the the parking garage a lot, the very last back lot looked really sketchy so we never parked there but we were always able to find parking on the parking garage. They should work something out for Bike Week next year to have parking for bikes only because some bikes would park only one bike in a parking spot and it took up a lot of space. Overall we really enjoyed our stay at The Holiday Inn at the Pavilion and i would come back and stay here again!
