Right on the board walk. We had a ocean front room and the view was perfect. We were close to everything and being on the boardwalk was great. The price was great. The staff were great, friendly, and helpfull. Overall great location.

This hotel is closest to the boardwalk! It is clean, tropical, very nice. There are apartments, indoor and outdoor pools, a tiki bar, and a wonderful staff. We have been coming here for years. We were passing through in February, and it is just as nice to stay there in winter as in summer. The ocean view was great too! The staff is friendly and helpful, as well.

Room Tip: Don't go to the side building. It is clean and larger than the other rooms, but older.

The staff was amaizing. The pools were clean. The location was great. The rates were good for a hotel on the boardwalk. It's just that the rooms were too small for our family of 4 :(
A 2 room suite would probably be bigger

Room Tip: The regular rooms are VERY small.

Alas, the dance Pavilion where the Shag was born and it's attendant amusement park now a memory, but a great place to stay right in the middle of all the hoopla still exists for the audacious and nostalgic traveller. Situated conveniently on the Boardwalk, the Holiday Inn at the Pavilion is a must for the person wanting to experience the classic shorepoint of Myrtle Beach, SC. We stayed there both to watch the Big Game and enjoy the beach in early February. At the outset: we asked for a top-floor room by the elevator. Got it, with a guaranteed ocean view, which was spectacular. We required walking-distance gift shops and bar/restaurants. Got those, with the predictable middle price-range drinks and viands and friendly service. Seemed more of a middle-aged crowd extant, without the Youthquake Vibration of the Spring or Summer, which can be a good thing, after all. Lest I forget--kitchens in the cozy room, which can lesson the Calabash frenzy on the wallet. Ah, the grand view out the large private balcony doors, with Davey Jone's Locker and Spain far beyond...

A bit late in writing this. Lovely hotel with a fab location. All rooms sea view and we were fortunate to have an apartment on the 6th floor. Apartment had all you could need to enjoy self catering. We really enjoyed the pool areas (inside and out). Great location for restaurants and bars. Can get a bit noisy from the bars in the evening though during busy periods .... We arrived on a bank holiday and it seems a lot of young people travel to Myrtle Beach for the weekend, but it only went on until midnight so was no big deal for us.
I recommend this hotel and I would stay again if I was ever out that way again.

Room Tip: Higher the floor the better the view gets

Quoted $56.00 by desk clerk on December 24th for two nights. No mention of extra Resort Fee and Administration fee for extra profit of $4.00 per night admin fee. On follow up call to motel to contest charges, was told administration fee was required by Myrtle Beach city. Call to city offices, was told no such fee required. City gets $0.01 of room taxes. Contested the bill with MasterCard and fees removed after they confirmed these details. Room needed repainting in the worst way. A dull orange room 608 didn't look right. Bedding was questionable. Overall appearance of the room should be valued in the $35.00 range. After first night, called desk to cancel second night, was told 33% early checkout fee would be charged. View of the ocean was very good. Moved to Roxanne Towers for $53 and was well pleased with the staff.

Room Tip: Call Roxanne Towers 800-843-2946 Please staff and we got upgrade to our room to the 14th floor (PH...

I have stayed here many times over the years, but this was my first month long snow bird visit to celebrate my retirement. The hotel and staff were great - from housekeeping to front desk to maintenance. I especially appreciate Kim, Angie and Sandy with whom I had the most contact. They could not have been more helpful and
made my stay so pleasant. The hotel was undergoing winter sprucing up with new carpet, powerwashing, landscaping, fresh paint... In fact, I don't think there was anything that didn't get attention. That's why the rooms, public areas and grounds are so immaculate. I will be back just as soon as I can. There's not a better value on the beach. Love the boardwalk, Pier 14, Sky Wheel, restaurants new and old, the daily dolphin show....
