“Love it!”
Reviewed June 5, 2013

I love piers and this one offered a beautiful and peaceful stroll out into the ocean. It was relaxing and very soothing. In my opinion the Springmaid Pier is what makes the stay at the Springmaid Resort so beautiful. I walked on the Pier and walked away with a sense of tranquility.

“Beautiful view”
Reviewed June 4, 2013

The only downside to the pier is having to pay a dollar per person to walk out even if you are only staying a short time. We stayed about 15 minutes and saw a stingray and a sea turtle in the water. Beautiful view and they have a nice little gift shop.

“Son enjoyed”
Reviewed June 3, 2013

Very nice pier and son really enjoyed. Just watch out for flying hooks. ALso be very careful with young kids. I saw many looking out while on the pier and could easily fall into the water.

“Absolutely Amazing! This is a must do!!!”
Reviewed June 2, 2013

Fishing in the pier was AWESOME! Rented a pole for 9 dollars for like 8 hours. With rental, two fishing passes, and shrimp bait it was about 30 dollars. So worth it!

-Live music on the pier
-Swing overlooking the ocean
-Restaurant at the front (most amazing blt I've ever had) and I know that sounds simple and it was but man it was good
-Lots of local knowledgeable fishermen as well as vacationers and they don't look down on you as on out of towner.
-People were gutting their fish and throwing their guts in the water and there were about 8 medium to large sharks that came around and started eating the food, it was so amazing to see.
- My husband and I caught "baby sharks" and that was sooo cool!!!

go go go! You don't have to be a pro fisher, it's really really fun. You can also keep your fish if they're within a certain length, we chose not to because we had a long way to travel home.

Have fun!!! Thank you springmaid for the amazing time!!!
