Owner description: Part of the Springmaid Beach Resort, the Springmaid Pier stretches 1,060 feet into the ocean. The pier holds the state record for Spanish Mackerel and hosts numerous fishing tournaments. The pier's BARnacles Bar & Grille offers tasty food and drinks in a casual atmosphere. The kids will especially enjoy the hand-dipped ice cream!

I enjoyed the gift shop! It was only $1 for each of us to go on the pier. Great many super photos and watched the fishermen,

A definite must if you fish! However, you don't have to fish to enjoy this. We don't fish, but we enjoyed sitting on the swing and looking out at the ocean.

My husband has been fishing from Springmaid Pier for twenty years (including the original that Hugo so rudely destroyed). One thing has never changed, the friendliness of all the staff and all the friends we have made on that pier. The view is the best of the piers around. We stay at the Springmaid Resort (which by the way, is the best lodging value on the Beach) and quests have free access to the Pier. Hello to Bud and the boys!!!!!!

My family and I enjoyed a stroll on the pier. Don't think you can go to the beach without going out on the pier. Not as crowded and a family environment.

Recently visited this pier after my children had a surfing lesson on adjacent beach. Spectators pay $1 to enter pier. It is well taken care of and there seems to be plenty of seats along the sides. At the farthest part of the pier there is a covered seating area that provides shade. There are various fish cleaning areas. We witnessed a golf cart coming out to sell drinks/snacks to visitors so they didn't have to walk back to the store at the beginning of the pier. There is a cute photo op of a large chair with "Springmaid Pier" painted above.
