We are always hesitant to try Italian food outside of NYC-no we're not food snobs but we've had some really gross "Italian" food in years past. This restaurant is run by ex-New Yorkers who ran a restaurant in Long Island. The food is really good, service is polite and efficient-we try to go here at least twice during our 7 day stay in Myrtle. Prices are not bad either!

On vacation in Myrtle Beach craving Italian. Left Olive Garden after being told of hour and a half wait. Stumbled upon Capriccio and decided to try it. Thank goodness we did! We had the veal and chicken parmesan. It was amazing! 3 large pieces of meat, I had mostacciolli with mine, and boyfriend had vegetables. All was delicious and very affordable! It was the real, home style, Italian we were wanting. We will definitely go back next time in Myrtle Beach!

We recently had dinner here and were quite happy with the food. It's just a simple storefront in a strip shopping center, but they have made the most of it with the decor...landscapes on the walls make it feel larger than it is.
I had a chicken dish that was extremely good; lasagne was good but not outstanding. Marinara sauce had a good flavor. Good bread, really good soup (some sort of spinach and egg soup, not my thing but my Italian mom absolutely loved it). There is a pizza area up front, and the pizzas looked great.
Service was absolutely wonderful; they really went out of their way for us (amazing for being at the beach).
People were dressed in everything from shorts to nice "dressy casual" clothes. This would be a good kids place (unless they are really noisy; too small a place for that). The general feel of the place was positive and relaxed. There's no pressure to hurry, or that you're somehow part of a herd of tourists (they are jammed up a half mile away at Broadway at the Beach).
So when you don't want to wait forever for a table at Sea Captain's house, or you are tired of looking for parking at Broadway at the Beach, I'd recommend trying out Capriccio's.
