Order from short menu in bar. After long wait, manager came told us our order didn't get to kitchen because order printer in kitchen was out of paper. Offered trip to buffet free for the long wait. The red sauce on spaghetti and meatballs tasted like it was canned and meat balls tasted like they were mostly bread. I will not go back. The restaurant is upscale and clean.

Thank you for visiting us at Capriz Italian Feast and thank you for taking the time to provide us with feedback on your experience. We were glad to hear you found the restaurant to be upscale and clean, but it was unfortunate to hear your comments on the lack of exceptional Italian cuisine we provided during the experience. Our goal at Capriz is always rooted in offering our guest a traditional and high quality Italian dining experience, but it seems we failed to meet those goals in your recent visit. We do however place a tremendous amount of value in the feedback we receive from our guests and we will be using your comments as an opportunity to improve upon our operation and the future experiences of our guests. While your recent experience with us did not display the truly high standards by which we operate, we would still love another chance to serve you in the future. Thank you again for your comments and we look forward to seeing you again soon.

I have been to most Italian places in the area. Buffet is more than we can eat but we tried it. The format was confusing, only one trip to the appetizer bar. Price to eat there was never listed. Rather than give you a list of their offerings, they brought out whatever they had. Mac & Cheese was first so it felt like they were trying to fill us up on junk. The red sauce tasted like it was canned. I will not go back for $30 per person (with soda). They need to educate you more on price and what they offer for the evening. The restaurant itself is upscale and clean but it's kinda like Ruth Chris paying for the atmosphere while charging you $60 for a $10 steak.

Thank you for visiting us at Capriz Italian Feast and thank you for taking the time to provide us with feedback on your experience. We appreciate you coming to eat with us, but it was unfortunate to hear your comments on the lack of exceptional Italian dishes we provided during your meal. We have made changes in our menu recently, in order to focus more on a 100% Italian style of cuisine, but there are no excuses for the lack of seasoning in the dishes you referenced. It also very clear that we should have done a much better job in communicating the format of the service we offer. We do take the comments we receive from our guest very seriously, and we will be reviewing your comments closely with our entire staff and culinary team, in order to learn from these mistakes, while improving the future experiences of our guests. As a guest of ours, we can only hope you will be willing to give us another chance to serve you, as we know that we can provide you with an experience that exceeds all of your expectations. Thank you again for your feedback and we hope to see you again soon.

My family lives in Myrtle Beach and has been dining at Capriz since they opened. We always have enjoyed dining here... the service and food have always been wonderful. When we have guests from out of town visiting Capriz has always been one of our top picks to take our guests. Unfortunately, that has now changed. Last weekend we dined there and learned that in the past 2 months they had changed their menu. The service, as usual was wonderful, but unfortunately not the food. Some of the dishes that we have come to love such as the steak, sausage links, parmesan crusted pork, and chicken legs (which is basically the only item besides salad that my daughter eats) have been changed or totally removed from the menu. The "meat" items also used to be served on large skewers and my girls enjoyed seeing them brought to the table that way. They are now brought out in large pans to the table. They have also changed several items on their salad bar. They still serve steak, but the steak we had was VERY bland, and had no taste... and in no way resembled the "old" delicious steak we loved. They also replaced the parmesan pork with another pork, which my husband was not impressed with. My daughter who only eats the chicken legs basically ate lettuce that evening because they were completely taken off the menu.
When our waiter asked how our meal was, we had to be honest, and told him we were not impressed with the new changes to the menu. A manager also visited our table and we also told him we were not happy with the changes. He told us they were trying to become their "own" restaurant and "break away" from Rioz (their sister restaurant), but if we wanted the steaks on the skewers we could always go to Rioz. He was very apologetic and even authorized a discount that we could use at Rioz and offered us dessert on the house. We discussed it later that night and even looked at other reviews on Tripadvisor giving Capriz 5's... but if you look closely most of those 5's are from visitors coming to the area on vacation. And YES, if you are here on vacation and happened to eat there ONE time, and had never dined there prior to the menu change, then more than likely YES you would say you had a good meal... but if you look at several of the reviews from "locals" they agree that the new menu (food) is not as good as before.
Unfortunately, one of our favorite restaurants to dine at (and to bring guests to) is no more.
Unless Capriz goes back to their old menu.... we will be looking for other options to dine at and to bring our out of town guests. :0(

We have been to Broadway at the Beach so many times and walked by Capriz's We stopped in for Happy Hour on Sat. night. What a great place, the prices for food and drinks at Happy Hour are fantastic and they give plenty of food. If the food at Happy Hour is any indication of the rest of the food they serve for dinner I can't wait to go back.

We are on vacation and decided to try it out. It was listed as a buffet. However, when we arrived around 4:30 there was only a few patrons and just a small salad bar. However, when we sat down, Samantha was our server and she explained how it worked, visit the salad bar and turn over the card to the green side. Then the meats and pastas started coming.. The service was excellent and the food was unbelievable. And it just kept coming. The manager/owner Chris talked with the patrons to insure that we were completely satisfied. Please go only when you are hungry..
