My husband and I always stay at Hilton properties. Anyone who's familiar with Hampton Inns knows they're ok... Typically, there's always something I can find in a hotel that is disappointing - not this time! Impressed that most of the rooms are oceanfront! The property is beautiful and spacious and the lobby/main floor area feels like a beach house! We could go down to the beach, if it got too hot we went back up to the pools, we could hang out in the "family room" settings on the lobby floor (overlooking the ocean.) One day we ordered pizza for the family and sat at the dining room tables! Very nice! Televisions in areas of the lobby with comfortable and very tasteful sofas! (Hate to call it a lobby because again, it's more like a beach home!) Even jigsaw puzzles! Our room service was the best! I got to know Minette and Sophie! So friendly and kind! Highly recommend this property for an outstanding family vacation! We'll be back!!

Excellent stay! Everything about the hotel was wonderful: very clean, big rooms, comfy beds, great views and location. The maid service was the best!!!! Our maid cleaned the bedroom the boys were staying in one day when they left it like a tornado had hit. My son had lost his cell phone and tore that room apart looking for it and then left the mess. When we returned to the room from a day of shopping the room was spotless. I couldn't believe my eyes, I really felt bad that the maid had cleaned up after them. Can't wait to return again and enjoy another great spring break vacation.

Room Tip: Get an ocean view room, it is awesome!

I really did like the property - clean, friendly, efficient staff. Breakfast was crowded, but food was hot, plentiful, and very good. Enjoyed the coffee, tea, and hot chocolate that was always available (and complimentary). There were morning and afternoon activities for children, even field trips (skating, zoo, etc.) - also complimentary. What was not so great was the beach. I have 2 active boys, ages 9 and 11, and the whole family was looking forward to ocean swimming, and skim and boogie boarding. While we were there, there were jelly fish. I was stung twice, and my husband and son were also stung. The lifeguards used are part of a service and are more like babysitters than lifeguards. Because of this, they are overly cautious. They did not allow anyone to go in past their waist, and on one day they did not allow anyone in over their KNEES. The waves were perfect for boarding, only 1 to 2 feet, but the lifeguard's restrictions prevented us from actually catching any waves. They also prevented us from doing any ocean swimming. And skim boarding is not allowed at all. Since there is only so much playing in the sand that active boys want to do, and souvenir shopping is not on their radar, I don't see any other draw for us to go back. If you enjoy just relaxing on the beach, or by the pool (if you don't mind all the kids running around), then I would say this could be the place for you. If you enjoy being active on the beach, then no, I would not recommend.

Room Tip: North Tower has 3 elevators.

We spent the week in Myrtle Beach to celebrate our 16th wedding anniversary. The hotel is so lovely! Floor to ceiling windows---beautiful sunlight streaming in. Hammocks on the property--just made for relaxing! The front desk staff were so nice! I was impressed with the little details. What kids don't like to dig in the sand while at the beach??!! The hotel offered all sorts of beach/water toys to guests big & small. Their only request--bring them back when you were done. We inquired about the beach chairs and umbrellas. The staff indicated they did not manage them but they were available for $30/day. Then they pulled out two beach chairs for us to use during our stay! There are beach stores on every corner but it was so nice of them to offer us the chairs. Am in love with the property!

I have stayed at most of the nicer hotels in Myrtle beach over the years. Hampton is unique. They maintain this hotel unlike any other hotel I have experienced in Myrtle beach. It is very typical of Myrtle beach hotels to show their age very quickly. This hotel always appears new both inside and out. I really have no idea how they keep this property looking new year after year. Hotel is clean, grounds are clean, rooms are clean. Staff is friendly and professional. The hotel is a bit expensive for a Hampton Inn, but it is worth the price. The lobby is very nice. It has flat screen televisions and sitting areas that overlook the ocean.

I booked this hotel with all of my Hilton Honors points accumulated over one year of work travel. It was well worth it.

The staff at this hotel is beyond superb. Our check in was smooth eventhough I had a complicated reservation. The staff went out of their way to make everyone feel at home. Even providing us with milk when we ran out mid evening.

Our room was oceanfront with two queen beds and a balcony. Spotless.

This hotel has maybe 7 or 8 pools. They have a kiddie pool and a kiddie lazy river.

This hotel also has kids activities; my son participated in the Parent's Night Out. This included movies, Wii games, pizza and snacks. We didn't leave the hotel because this was his and our first time doing this but he had a great time.

The pools do not have a pool level bathroom but I can see why. Many people can access the hotel from the garage so it's best to keep bathroom access to hotel guests. Bathroom access is through the lobby.

The hotel doesn't have any food available during the day but they do have a pantry that you can purcahse items from if need be. We had a nice size refrigerater in our room so we purchased stuff for lunch. We also had a microwave available in our room.

Additional pro's: free internet, free parking and free breakfast! The breakfast areas are beautiful. Great views if you want to just sit and read a book.

There is a spa on site but sadly enough I didn't have time to go.

Don't rent a umbrella and chairs from the women on the beach in front of the hotel. It's cheaper to go to the cheap stores on Kings Highway and buy a chair and umbrella.

The only thing I would be warry of is the trucks that sell ice cream on the side of the hotel. Twice we were scammed by this guy saying I'll be right back with your change and he then took off. Frustrating.

Another thing to be warry of when staying in Myrtle Beach itself is the begging. Three times while getting into our car in the hotel garage we were approached by this women asking for help. On three separate nights she gave us the same sob story about not being able to get home and feed her kids. However, she turned around and got into a nice shiney sports car. The hotel was allerted and took care of the problem by asking her to leave.

Hotel wise this was a fantastic vacation. This hotel was top notch and the staff was excellent.

My husband and I are both in the military. With our crazy work schedules and our children we find it hard to make time for each other. Finally we had a weekend just for us, and the Hampton Inn was the destination. From the time we walked in the door we were greeted with friendly faces and helpful information. We were treated like royalty even though the lobby was full. The staff checked us right in and attended to all of our needs. The events hostess Mrs. Kay gave us information to the spa, the newly opened service provided by the Hampton Inn. The spa gave us a same day appointment, and had reasonable prices. The level of professionalism and dedication just to us was outstanding. It was an amazing experience. We felt so relaxed afterward, and we highly recommend this service. The next day we had breakfast down in the lobby. The staff was very clean and friendly. The food was amazing. Everything was fresh and hot. We didn't have to wait for anything. The hotel provided several information packets for parasailing and dinning which we used. The pool and hot tub area was clean and the beach access was accessible. The cleaning staff made sure our room was clean everyday and always asked if we need anything else. We felt as if this was a ten year honeymoon all over again. At the end of the weekend we felt extremely relaxed and very grateful. If you are planning a trip any time soon to Myrtle Beach I would highly recommend the Hampton Inn and Suite Ocean Front. You will not be sorry!
