We just got back from our first trip to Myrtle Beach and the Hampton Inn Oceanfront.
The Good:
The Hotel was very clean and well appointed. The rockers on the balcony were definitely a nice touch. Room had a nice TV, wifi, super clean bathroom, comfy beds.
The beach is right there, awesome.
The Bad:
No good restaurants in the area. Can't buy a beer here. After a 14 hour drive, a cold one would have been nice. ( I did see they applied for a license, so maybe you'll have better luck}.
The Ugly:
Breakfast is combat, plain and simple. Southern Hospitality goes right out the window as everyone plows over everyone else to get a biscuit. A lot of this is due to the cramped conditions (no where to set up), but seriously, look out for small children cause these people are animals.
Pools were a little dingy.

Room Tip: Odd number floors have the ice machines

This is our second time staying in this hotel. I am going to repeat what everyone else has written. It is really a wonderful hotel to stay in. We like it because of the location, right on the beach. Comfortable beds and super clean rooms. Hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good every morning, coffee good too. We enjoyed sitting on our balcony every morning and evening just relaxing and enjoying the view. Very peaceful. We will definately be back.

My husband and I vacation 6 nights at the Hampton Inn & Suites Oceanfront, Myrtle Beach. We stayed in the North Towers. We had an enjoyable stay at this clean hotel. It seems like we were always running into the cleaning staff touching up everything around the hotel, even the inside of the elevator. Lovely rooms and pool areas. Yes, we would stay there again.

Room Tip: North Towers updated recently

This hotel is truly a diamond in the rough. It was by far the best hotel on the strip IMHO. The surrounding area wasn't that great, but the Hampton Inn Oceanfront was immaculate. It was clean, the employees were friendly, and it was reasonably priced. Did i say it was "clean"?There were several pools, a kids water play area, and a few lazy rivers. My son and husband loved the fresh baked cookies and breakfast was the norm(yogurt, danishes, cereal, bagels, etc). We will definitely stay here again.

We were in Myrtle Beach for Easter weekend and we were looking for a Hotel that was quiet and we found one.
The location out of the busy downtown area is nice since you are a short drive form the action. On the other hand there is not a lot of restaurant to choose from in the immediate area of the hotel.
Do not worry about morning coffee and breakfast they have a great buffet breakfast which was great for us. The rooms are not very spacious but we were not there to spend the day in the room anyway. The room was very clean and confortable. While a big hotel the service felt like a small homy hotel very familly friendly. The pools and grounds are immaculate and there is an easy access to the beach.

Overall a great experience, it will definatly be our pad in Myrtle Beach in the future!
