We were looking for a small, really good Italian restaurant. We found it atToscano's.
We started with the bread and roasted pepper dipping sauce. The bread was hot, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The dipping sauce was infinitely better than the usual oil and spices offering at most restaurants.
The house salad that came with the meal was lightly dressed and had little crunchy surprises of flavor that we couldn't identify. We finally asked. It was little shavings of crispy sweet potato.
This night we were ready for Italian and so my partner order the Manicotti and I the spaghetti and meatballs. Both were superb. The marinara sauce on each was probably the best I've had anywhere. it was light and had its own special flavor.
The Lemoncello cake for dessert was the perfect finish.
The atmosphere at Toscano's is a product of the friendly, efficient, and attentive staff, the clean, white decor, and the inviting aroma of the simmering sauce.
