There are so many wonderful attractions at Myrtle Beach (namely the beach), but Wonderworks was a major disappointment. It is an over-priced, dumbed-down science museum. It was loud, visually-distracting and many of the displays did not function properly. Visit Ripley's Aquarium, ride the Sky Wheel, and (unless you're looking for air-conditioning) save your money for a real science museum.

Thank you for your feedback. We would like to hear more about the date and time of your visit; especially as to what you allege was not in working order. We have techs on site who keep all exhibits properly maintained and functional. We have over 100 interactive exhibits of hands on fun such as 360 bikes, virtual sports, all new XD 6D theater, coaster simulators, bed of nails, a vast array of interactive trivia and scientific facts, physical challenges from pulley power to the ropes course and so much more. Had you reported any exhibit you thought not to be functional during your visit? Had you spoken with a manager while you were here? Please contact us directly at guestservices@wonderworksmb.com to further discuss your experience.

Sincerely,
WonderWorks Management

Science and fun combined into one. The sky track was a big hit with our 11 year old! Bed of nails was amazing. We all learned some new things about science. We made huge bubbles. The outdoor cafe was very impressive. Speedy service and good menu.

I've been to a number of places like this. This place looks cool from the outside as the building is actually upside down, but when you get inside it's just like any other kids place with small little kiosks of things for them to do with one or two semi-big things on each floor. Nothing special except for the crowds you will see during the summer months. The number of people makes this a non-starter for me if I ever went to Myrtle Beach in the future. Expensive and not a whole lot there. The lazer tag arena is smaller than my house and not worth the extra money.

This is a great place to take young children and teens to. It has all sorts of exhibits that will appeal to all ages. All of them were very interesting. The main highlight was the ropes course on the top floor. We did it first and then did all of the exhibits. It can get crowded so be sure to come at 9:00 AM when it opens. Overall a good place to go in Myrtle Beach but be sure to come early.

After reading some of the reviews, we were a little worried. I'm glad we went though. Make sure you get there as soon as they open......it fills up quickly. It would be a different story if we went later. We went with a group of eight.....ages of 10, 12, 36, 42, 45, 50, 68, & 69. Everyone enjoyed it!!! Well worth the $$.
