“Great place for kids & young at heart!”

Fun & interactive science attraction. Lots of interactive educational activities and rides. Conveniently located at Broadway at the Beach. Check with local resorts/hotels for ticket deals. We were able to get a 2-for-1 ticket deal.

“Lots of indoor fun”
Reviewed February 20, 2012

We spent the day at Wonderworks on a rainy Sunday afternoon. It turned out most other people vacationing at the beach had the same idea. We arrived about 1 pm and the place was packed, however, for the attaractions with a line the staff kept it moving along quickly. There is a lot to do for kids of all ages. We had girls ages 6 to 12 and they were busy the whole time. We spent about 4.5 hours and did almost everything. As the day progressed the lines started thinning out some. The ropes course is a lot of fun but not good for younger children even if they are tall enough for it. One of my girls decided at the second platform she did not like the ropes course and a staff member took her down to her mother so that I could stay up with the others. The price is what you would expect for an attraction in a tourist area. Our hotel was running a special that gave us a free adult ticket if we bought them with our reservation, that helped with the cost a lot. The only thing that I felt was a draw back was the Arcade up at the ropes course. It did not fit with the rest of the place and was just a way to get more money out of you once inside. There is also a food area but we did not try any of it.

“Alot to do but was very busy!”
Reviewed February 20, 2012

We took a 6 and 7 year old and they had fun but didn't really understand and lines were very long and felt rushed or impatient and just didn't want to wait. Also it was about 90 degrees inside and this was in february. We didn't do the rope climb because there was an hour wait. Maybe on a day when they aren't so busy it would have been worth the $85 for the 4 of us. Will go again when kids are older.

“Entertaining”

Good activity for a rainy day. A little expensive but get a coupon online it helps a little. It was way to warm in there. I was burning up several times while standing in line for the different exhibits. The indoor ropes course was fun!

“Biggest surprise: the food”
Reviewed February 19, 2012

In-museum restaurants are often so-so. Not true of The Works Eatery. They serve a first rate hamburger there.
