It was raining and our family decided to look for indoor activities. We passed the art Museum and were pleasantly surprised to find a jewel by the sea. We got to interact with several exhibits. My daughter is majoring in film and one of the exhibits was honor to the animation world. The other one was about golf, but was a great example of American Art at it's best. Don't miss this experience if you visit Myrtle Beach.

This art museum has something for everyone. We enjoyed the golf art exhibit entitled, "Fore!". Each piece provided background on the artist, as well as some education about golf. Many of the pieces had connections to the Myrtle Beach area which made the experience even more worthwhile.

I like that visitors are not hassled, there's room enough to move around, the displays change, and there's a museum shop. It is not an overwhelming art museum and it is a good place to while away a couple of hours.

There are generally things for children to do there. The museum is at the end of the Ocean Blvd near the Springmaid Pier. It's not too close to all the action in Myrtle Beach, but close enough that if the visitors wanted to go to a museum, they could.

The exhibitions change regularly and the volunteers have always been very nice when I've gone.

The museum currently has an animation exhibit which was fun for our entire group (4 years-40 years old).

Loved the gallery and museum. It was nice to change the pace from the beach and shopping. Great location too.
