Owner description: Carolina Improv Company is located INSIDE the Myrtle Beach Mall at the Uptown Theater with seating for approximately 75 people. It's a very intimate (and small) space and serves beer, wine and soda. Yes, it's a little unconventional but that's what makes it fun (and cheaper than other shows). Our seats are transportable cushioned chairs and sometimes we have to pull out folding chairs when people are begging to see us. The fire marshall lets us have up to 110 people in the space. Since the mall does not provide outdoor signage it could be tricky to find us. The mall anchor is Bass Pro Shop and Uptown is on that end of the mall. For the quickest path to the theater, guests should park at the back of the mall between Bass Pro Shop and Carmike Cinema. Hungry? There are several restaurants at the mall where you can eat before visiting us.

Only one of us had ever been to an improv show before so this was something different to do in MB. The kids enjoyed it and the ticket prices were reasonable. I'm not so sure if I would do it again though. If your looking for a nice comfortable venue, this isn't it. But looking for a different experience and not worried about setting then give it a try!

“Nice eveining”

This impove located close to North Myrtle beach was a great surprise. It was a small and intimate show and the performers were good and friendly. We went to both the family show and the adult show which was not x rated. We plan on attending next year as well.

“Fun night for the family”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 22, 2013

Attended a show with my kids ages 18 and 15. Fun stuff and all clean so no worries about the age attending the "Who's Beach Is It Anyway" show. They were a good improv group, not at the same level as say Second City in Chicago. The ticket price is extremely reasonable compared to other evening entertainment options in Myrtle Beach.

Thank you so much for coming to see us. We aspire to be Second City one day and our proud of what we've accomplished in our little beach town compared to Chicago. Hope to see you again.

“LAUGHTER - It's good for what ails ya!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 18, 2013

Go! It's fun, it's cheap (in a good way) and it'll make you lighten up.

I've taken Improv classes at Second City in Chicago and for me it is always fun to see that our exercises are actually performed regularly. It's fun! It's fun to watch and it's amazingly cool to do. They offer training classes, too.

“Very good”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 16, 2013

It was not apparent from the website that they have family friendly shows and over 18 shows. I booked our 4 adults for what was the "family friendly" show - which was definitely great for kids and teens but probably would have liked the over 18 show better. Definitely a fun night and something different to do. Had an enjoyable time. Lots of laughs!

Thanks so much for coming and for your feedback. Could you give us some suggestions on where to put the 18+ info on our website to make it easier for patrons to find? We have it listed in our show descriptions and on our ticketing page. Is there a better page? Thanks in advance for suggestions!!! Gina
