“Best Food and Service in Myrtle Beach”
Reviewed February 8, 2014

Last night was our second dinner at Lombardo's in the past month. The food and service are second to none in Myrtle Beach. Mussel appetizer is worth the trip alone. Mussels cleaned to perfection, mussel meat is big and tender, but the sauce...Oh My God!

Even better is the pricing. Appetizers run $8-10 and entrees are low $20's. Wine by the glass is $5-7 for a full pour. None of the silly 6 or 9 oz BS being done by many in Myrtle.

We've eaten at all the "best" restaurants in Myrtle area (Grand Strand): NY Prime, 21 Main, Thoroughbreds, Sea Captain, Perrone's, Bistro 217, Frank's and many more. Lombardo's is the best experience in area! You'ld have to go to Charleston or Charlotte for better and it may not be there either.

“Great Food and Great Service”
Reviewed February 3, 2014

My husband and I go to Lombardo's at least twice a month either alone or with a group of friends. We recommend Lombardo's to all of our friends. The food is great - my husband says they have the best veal he has ever tasted. I love the Chicken Scapiello and of course, we both love the Lava Cake. The servers are all very nice, polite, attentive and helpful - our old favorite server, Adam, has gone back to Boston and now our favorite servers are Michael or Chris but I am sure all of the servers are great!

This was our first visit to Lombardo's, and it was a pleasure. Our server, Michael, was attentive and answered all of our questions knowledgeably. The food was delicious. This was a great experience.

“Great Food - Great Service”
Reviewed February 1, 2014

My wife and I visited Lombardo's based on Trip Advisor reviews. We are glad that we did.

The restaurant has a comfortable feel and an interesting ceiling that you have to see to appreciate.

The portions are large and mouth watering, served in a timely manner, by a very friendly staff.

We were told that they are in a new location, and had been previously located off the highway, Located just south of the 17 business/bypass split, they are in an area convienient to the theaters, shopping and our hotel.

We are looking forward to another trip and a chance to try more of the menu items.

“Lombardo's Is Excellent!”
Reviewed January 24, 2014

We went to this restaurant for dinner on a recent Saturday night. We had made reservations, but they were not necessary due to the early hour. For later dining, I would definitely recommend reserving, even though it is not tourist season. The restaurant was very busy by the time we left.

The atmosphere was very nice: a decent-sized bar area, attractive dining room décor, mellow pop music piped in (the obligatory Frank Sinatra and similar). The menu has plenty of variety, with popular dishes, such as Marsala and Piccata offered in a choice of veal or chicken, and, in some cases, steak, flounder, or eggplant. Prices vary.

We were seated immediately, and our server, Chris, introduced himself. He did a terrific job. He was knowledgeable about the menu, made inquiries about ingredients when necessary, and made it clear that modifications to dishes, if possible, were no problem.

For starters, we split an order of Beef Carpaccio, which was wonderful. The raw shaved filet was served on crispy crostini, garnished with a spicy mustard sauce, capers, and mixed baby lettuce. My husband ordered the tasty Sausage Soup, a substitute for the announced soup du jour, Manhattan Clam Chowder. I had the salad, with mixed greens and dressing in a well-chilled bowl.

Fro our entrée, we chose Chicken Scarpiello, a pasta dish with chicken and sausage in a creamy sauce. It comes with pepperoncini, which we had served on the side. In our opinion, they are not necessary, and might even overwhelm the sauce.

We did not order dessert, but I certainly wouldn't expect a bad one at this place.

As we were exiting the restaurant, the manager asked if we were satisfied with our experience. We definitely were.

Originally, we chose this restaurant because we had a discount coupon. The coupon did its job. We will be back.
