We dined at the Farm House Restaurant in Myrtle Beach in June. It was Great! remined me of my great grand parents house in virginia. they have about 30 tables inside as its been a real home before. only serve water, ice tea, lemonade(home made too)and coffee to drink, has a real charm to the place. cloth napkins, food is served buffet style in cast iron pots, skillets, all made from scratch daily as told by the waitress. staff was very nice too. theres a guy who plays piano softly as you dine. prices are 19.95 for adults and .95 cents per childs age i believe. we dont have kids so dont quote me on that one. the all made from scratch food they serve is fried chicken, beef stew, sirloin pieces in brown gravy, baked beans with bbq, rice, mashed potatoes, green beans, apples, salty ham, pinto beans, corn bread, squash, greens, corn on the cob, cole slaw, bread n butter pickles, homney, sweet potatoes, cabbage, and succotash. hope I didnt leave anything out. for dessert it was either strawberry short cake with whipped cream or chocolate pudding with whipped cream. I was told they are only open from june til middle of august and theres usually a wait but you can wait on the porch in a rocking chair til ready. I will DEF. be back it was Wonderful! if you like country cooking you cant go wrong with this place!
