Our second time staying at the Admiral, and we look forward to a third. The location on the ocean by the pier is ideal. The room was very clean, and has everything you need plus more. The best part is the personal service of Teresa. She really cares about her customers, and it shows.

A wonderful and friendly place to stay. Always clean, no odors in the rooms. Such as smoke from previous guest. Once you stay there and enjoy the friendness, that will be your place to stay. I really enjoy the ocean front, i can watch the board walk from my room. Already booked my next stay.
So Teresa and Joe I will be seeing you soon.

We loved staying at the Admiral. We will be staying there next year and years to come. A very clean place to stay. Every one at the Admiral goes out of their way to make our stay great. Can't wait to see them again.

Have been staying here for at least the past 8 or 9 years. And if the Lord allows will be going again (2nd time this year) next week. It is not a big hotel but it is in a great location, great ocean views and my mom has favorite rooms in which she likes to stay. If at all possible Teresa tries to accommodate that. This time the favorite room is booked, but will still have a good room. I recommend you give Admiral Inn a try. It is a place where you can sit back and relax and take in the beautiful view of the Lord's vast ocean. Can't hardly wait to get there next week!!!

First, thank you for your review. We appreciate feedback at Admiral Motor Inn from all of our guests whether it be good or bad. We apologize that your stay did not live up to the expectations of your research on the internet. We constantly advertise Admiral Motor Inn as a clean, affordable option for guests coming to MB. The motel is not brand new nor does it have large amenities. However, we are a 3 story smaller mom and pop operation with a wide variety of rooms that are clean and comfortable. If our guests are looking for a larger, upscale resort with new amenities we are not your best option. Additionally, we have parking alongside the motel and offer some of the best rates on the beach. If you are looking for a smaller, affordable and personable place then Admiral Motor Inn is the place for you.

Dear Teresa
Lynne and Karen stayed in room 307 from July 5-18 2013. We left early Thursday morning, July 18, as we wanted to get an early start. We didn’t have a chance to discuss the following with you:

We are the type of people who understand you get what you pay for, however we spent $123/night including tax which is the same that we would pay at other hotels for a standard room. There is no comparison to a standard room and what we received here.

For example:
1. WIFI is horrible. Works when it feels like it. Never a clear strong signal, weak at best, cuts off all the time, sometimes no signal at all. Another guest told us they were having the same problem and that they were told someone was going to fix it, but still it was not fixed. Unacceptable. They were not happy about it either.
2. Very old bathroom sink, counter, bathtub. New toilet does not flush properly. You need to flush it 3-4 times to work. It is not bolted tightly to the floor and it swivels from left to right. The sink does not drain properly. Each day it took a bit longer to drain to the point that when we left on Thursday morning, it was totally plugged. There is also a very bad odor emanating from the sink once it does drain. On our first night we had a problem with the toilet. It simply would not flush properly. Worried it would overflow, we called the office and no one answered. Recording came on. It was around 9pm. No one available to help. We brought it up with the cleaning lady the next morning and she said she would look after it. The next time we used the toilet after that the toilet was still the same. No one ever came back to inquire how it was working. We had to flush it 2-3 times every time we used it, and we made sure we put hardly any toilet paper in it.
3. On the subject of sink problems, the kitchen sink does not drain properly either. If you wash more than one or 2 dishes at a time, the sink takes a very long time to drain.
4. The headboard closest to the balcony has “Amanda” scratched into it. This is something I would expect to find in a sleazy hotel, not yours.
5. The lamp over the tv has a broken light socket and therefore does not work.
6. Chest of drawers has unknown disgusting drippings dried onto the two left drawers. This was there when we arrived. The ridges on the outside of the drawers were dusty and dirty when we arrived, NEVER cleaned the entire time we were there.
7. Railing over balcony has chipped paint and needs a paint job badly.
8. The day we arrived and entered the lobby, there was a strong nauseating smell of cigarette smoke that permeated the whole lobby. One of us is a smoker and it even bothered me. The other girl who does not smoke felt very ill after leaving the office. No windows, no ventilation. BAD impression for new guests! Very unprofessional.
9. When we arrived the pool was in great disrepair. Tiles were missing (which some had been replaced while we were there), broken concrete is very unsafe. There is a dirty ring around the top tiles of the pool. The morning we left was the first time I saw someone actually scrubbing the dirty ring off the tiles. Pool is not cleaned daily and sand accumulates in it. We overheard another guest say they were not going into the pool one day because it was cloudy and dirty. We went to check and they were correct. We could not use the pool. We were told by another guest 2 days before we left that we could use the Windjammer’s pool and hot tub next door. No one ever told us this before. There is no list of amenities in the room. This would have been extremely helpful.
10. Outdoor ceilings have peeling paint, crumbling concrete showing rusted metal.
11. The first time we went out in the evening, on our second night, we returned to find no parking available at our hotel. No one was in the office and we were at a loss as to where to park. Sign on lobby door said to go to the Windjammer for any help. Lucky for us, you showed up briefly at that point and told us we could park across the street.
12. Another incident was when we lost one of our room keys. There was no one in the office to answer the phone. At 9am we went to the office, no one there, sign on the door said to go next door, so we did. The clerk at the Windjammer said she was unable to give us a key and redirected us back to our motel. Lucky we had a spare key, otherwise we would have been locked out of our room with no one to call.
13. When we first arrived we met our cleaning lady and in a very congenial conversation, we said that there was no need for her to make the beds everyday. She told us to put the dirty towels outside and she would bring us new towels daily, which she did, and made our beds if we weren’t in the room. This was great. We were happy with that but after EIGHT days of not having our bathroom cleaned (toilet dirty, sink and taps dirty), we nicely brought it up with the cleaning lady. She said she would clean the bathroom and that our conversation had been misunderstood. We were disappointed that she never offered to clean the bathroom, even if she thought we didn’t want it, as the sink, counter, taps and toilet obviously needed cleaning. This was hard to miss as she placed the towels on the bathroom counter every day. She did clean the bathroom after we asked. She swept the floor, however the toilet bowl did not look any cleaner, the sink may have been cleaned but it is old and very marked up and you can’t tell, the taps and the chrome were not touched. They still had water marks and grime on them. The counter was dusty. Same for the kitchen taps.
14. TWO coffee cups found in the cupboard were DIRTY when we went to use them. Obviously past patrons did not clean their dishes. Does no one check that the dishes are clean after guests leave? The sign says $25 will be charged for leaving dirty dishes and not putting them away. I hope the last guests before us will be charged that fee. We left the 2 cups on the table and did not clean them as we did not use them. We washed ALL the dishes we used.
15. On our last night a plastic bag with disgusting soiled towels and a roll of soiled toilet paper was found resting on the staircase as we were walking down the stairs to go for dinner. What kind of pig would leave such a thing on the stairs?????? This was obviously going to stay there until the next day when cleaning staff came around.
16. On a positive note, the view from the balcony of the ocean is fantastic, and the beds are very comfortable.
In all honesty, when we were considering this hotel, we read tons of reviews from past patrons, some good, some not so good. Even with that, because Teresa seemed to be on top of the comments, and repeatedly stated how clean the motel was, it gave us the confidence to give it a try. Considering the daily cost of $123 incl. tax, we would have expected the daily services to be adequate. Needless to say, we do not feel we got our money’s worth, and will not return.

I have been coming here since I was 18 and now almost 25 !!Ive known the staff for yrs and always have taken care of me ..They keep the place clean and always give so much more than I expect and keep me and others more than happy! This hotel is a great family place and I could not ask for more! Most of the resorts I've stayed at could never offer this to me!! Just stay here and you will see what I mean.I will put this hotel up against any other hotel and resort!!!if you are the type to tear up a hotel or cause problems! Then this is not the hotel for you and should go somewhere else! They value the wellness of customers and they make sure your stay is great!!! I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!
