“not the same as before”

We have been to the Breakers in the past and that is why I can say they are sliding down hill in service and Quality. The room I booked was not the one we received. I had a view of the ocean but looking down the allyway. The room was in need of real update. The bed spead was faded, stained and not appealing. The room was dark and lighing poor. There was no where to sit except for two wooden table chairs, when there was room for a sittng chair or club chair. Our room card would not access the pool or GYM, went to front desk and they said "they Should are you using them right' Duh I got in my room. We had a coffee maker did not figure out why, they did not provided coffee or tea bags. The coffee cups had dust in them, so I guess the others in the room prior did not get coffee either. I use to recommend this RESORT to others but it has turned into a Motel not a RESORT...the size of the place is huge but that doesnt make it a resort... We could have stayed at the cheapest motel and gotten the same room and Quality we got by staying a use to be RESORT. Oh, when we addressed these issue with the staff they gave me a card and said you can address you concerns at the web site so HERE IT IS<<thanks Staff>>>

My wife and I went to Myrtle Beach for a week. The first night a pipe on the roof burst filling many rooms including ours with water. The staff was right on the case moving us and giving us a suite [ a nice upgrade from the original room ]. I know that you would expect there help but they went way above and beyond under this unusual situation.

The rooms and amenities were of course top notch as usual and we really loved the oceanfront bar.

This was our first ever trip to America,on arrival we could not believe the size of the accomodation we were given.
The view was absolutely fanastic, along with the swimming pools and hot tubs there was something for every one and all ages.
The hotel is well located close to the beach and all shops and restaurants.
Included in the hotel was a gym and SPA all available for use.
We had the pleasure of watching 2 weddings take place in the gardens, from our balcony.
The maid service was great and everyone was so friendly.
I would recommend this hotel to any one; there is so much to do in the Myrtle Beach area .Our only regret is we did not have enough time to see and do every thing.

Stayed in Paradise Tower (Top Floor!) and enjoyed a great view from a clean room. Everything went well, so not much interaction with staff outside of the seamless check-in.

Brought 13yr old son and he enjoyed the Lazy River and quick access to the beach.

Nicely located with quick access to all the best activities.

My husband and I spend 7 nights in the Palms Tower. The room was 1143. The room was clean and the maid service was great. The only problem we had was the A/C vent in the kitchen rattled whenever the A/C in the livingroom came on but wasn't enough to complain about to maintenance. The staff at check-in were OK. A couple of the young girls acted like they didn't want to be bothered but they were busy so we overlooked that. The food at the Red Parrot was very good and the prices were reasonable. We would stay there again.

Be sure to keep your personal items close at hand...they may not be returned if left in hotel. I contacted the hotel several times but have not heard from or received my lost item. It has been two weeks since this happened.

The hotel has been undergoing renovation of their older hotel rooms and it has made the rooms very comfortable. The front desk staff was friendly and efficient. Gloria the golf director is the best and works very hard to make sure that you get to play the courses that you want at the best rate available. The only drawback of this hotel is the same as all of the ocean front properties...lack of parking. The parking ramp is a block away but there isn't much they can do about that. Papa's restaurant has a wonderful breakfast buffet which is kept replenished and the food is hot, staff very friendly. The pools, hot tubs, and grounds were kept very clean with staff out every morning cleaning and picking up. We had an ocean front king in the Palms tower (older tower). We loved the arrangement of entering into the bedroom with flat panel tv, and a separate living room with flat panel tv, couch, wall bed, table and chairs and balcony. The kitchenette separated the two rooms and with doors that could be closed for complete privacy for families or couples. The bath room had a nice size vanity and a separate room with a door for the commode and bath/shower. Our room was clean and soaps, shampoo, towels, etc. replenished daily. The Breakers is conveniently located with in walking distance of several restaurants, convenient stores, etc. so you can leave the car parked. All in all, it is a great place to stay and very family oriented.
