“Great Place to Stay”
Reviewed July 17, 2008

I stayed here for 4 nights and loved everything about it. The staff was friendly, the rooms were clean and updated, the housekeeper was helpful and polite. Overall the environment was what you expect when on vacation. Will make this my primary resort to stay at. Loved the the music by the pool as well. I recommend this hotel to anyone traveling for any reason.

I stayed at the Breakers Resort on June 4-8 and it was great! The room was exactly what we expected and the service was good also. The pools were crowded, but that is expected during one of the busiest vacation weeks of the year. The pools and hotel were clean and everyone was very friendly. We enjoyed our stay very much and plan to go back in August to stay here again!

We came to myrtle beach on June 28th and stayed until Jul 3rd
At Breakers Palmetto. It was our first vacation as a family. we had our 11 yr old daughter and 8 yr old son. Absolutely could not keep them out of the lazy river, pool and pirate ship. It was so relaxing. It was only our second trip to myrtle beach. We are already planning our vacation next year and are wanting to stay in the same room if we can possibly get it. and make Myrtle beach and The breakers our vacation destination every summer. Next year we hope to be there for the 4th of july to see the fireworks. And we also plan on staying 7 days . The Breakers was everything we expected. Beach access was really great, location was really good. We didnt move the car but once or twice to hit the malls to do some school shopping and went out to eat a couple of times. Loved the Red parrot cafe (Buffalo Wings) were awesome. My wife really enjoyed starbucks being right across the street. The breakers is awesome! LIke someone else stated
Myrtle beach is a vacation town and you're gonna have flaws no matter where you stay there None of them is perfect. But I definitely give the breakers an A++++++ all the way. Keep up the great work guys. Hope to see next year.

We stayed at Breakers resort (7/5-7/9) due to a last minute change in plans from where we were going to stay. We had a nice clean comfortable room. Two queen beds, full kitchen, balcony. No ocean view. But that was okay since it was such a last minute decision. Overall, we were pleased with the room type we had. We stayed in the building over the mini mart. I didn't deal with housekeeping. I never like housekeeping in my room wherever I stay anyways. But they were nice and quick when I called for clean towels. The pools were nice. No complete indoor pool. It wasn't as expensive as the hotel we were going to stay in that we left and the room offered more. We would stay there again. Front desk staff were very helpful as well.

Not having been to Myrtle Beach in years and never during the 4th of July week, I wasn't sure what to expect....at the beach or hotel! I was very happy with the room/suite at the Palms Tower.
We were on the 12th floor and had a great ocean front view.
The room opened to a bedroom with 2 double beds, a kitchen/bath in the middle corridor with closets and then a sitting area with a sleeper sofa and a wall bed. The full balcony was off of this room. Everything was fine and clean and there were dishes etc in the kitchen. Had a problem with the TV in the sitting area and within 20 min, James was there to take care of it and replaced it right away and he was very nice and helpful too.
Even though the room was not fully cleaned daily, the trash and towels were taken care of and we got extras when asked.
Kids will love all the pool areas and the lazy river and everyone seemed family oriented. At night everything was well-lit and lots of people out and about and walking the beach too. We stayed 5 nights and had no problems with noise with the exception of an occasional firecracker or door slam. The parking garage (looks new) is across the street and we had no problem with parking. All in all a good trip and I would definitely go back and would want to stay in the same room again!

We stayed at Breakers Resort Paradise Tower from June 22, 2008 to June 27, 2008. We stayed in a (V) Oceanfront Deluxe Suite on the third floor and the room was very clean and well maintained. The kids loved the pool areas and the lazy river. My son was especially thrilled that he could connect his X-Box to the flat-screen LCD TVs we had in the room, not that we had much "down-time" because we were on the beach and in the pools so much.

The room also included a mini-kitchen with refrigerator, stove, microwave, and sink, all of which were clean and in good condition. This really helped us save time and money by eating in. Even though we were only on the third floor, we had a spectacular view of the pool areas and beach.

The reservation and front desk staff were very courteous and helpful, and the room cleaning staff did a good job keeping us stocked with towels and the room clean.

My only real gripe would be the pool chair snatching that seemed to take place every morning. Even with signs clearly posted that towels left on chairs before 9AM would be removed, you'd see the same few people out every morning around 8AM claiming chairs with a stack of 4-5 towels.

Overall, it was by far our best experience so far at Myrtle Beach, and we definitely look forward to doing it again next summer!

Rooms were ok. Pools and ocean access was great. But...the elevators were horrible! Of the 3, two averaged working and when we went to check out only one was working. That one elevator was so full everytime it finally made to us on the 14th floor, that we ended up having to take the stairs. I normally would not complain, but I had a 5 month old and all of our luggage. If they would do some work to their elevators this would be a great hotel!
