“great stay-will be back”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 24, 2012

The breakers is a very nice resort in Myrtle beach. My family stayed from July 8-13. We stayed in the Palms tower and it is centerally located between the 5 buildings. We had access to all the pools, hot-tubs and resturants. The hotel staff was super nice and very accomadating. The room is very nice, we stayed in a 1 bedroom and it was nice to have the bed seperated from the living area. Does not look like the rooms have been renovated in the last 3-4 years, BUT they were very well kept and clean. Everything was in working order. It was also nice to have a full kitchen. The beach is just steps away. I also took advantage of the pool-side service. It was very prompt and fairly priced. The music/DJ at the pool was a highlight...once of the best parts about the atmosphere. Check in was 3pm, and we did not get in a minute before 3 o'clock (although the registration area was super busy with check in and outs)We would go back again next year. Parking is across the street, so not super close.

My husband and I stayed at the Breakers Resort July 7th - 14th. We had a wonderful time. The staff was very nice, housekeeping and maintenance did a wonderful job. We relaxed alot on the lawn and jumped between a couple of the pools and ocean. We had a beautiful oceanfront room, enjoyed the view in the morning and the evenings. Enjoyed our morning breakfast buffet at Papa's resturant. I would recommend this resort and would definately plan my next stay here!

Some of our family stayed at the resort for a week, We stayed at another Golf Resort 20 minutes away.
We were there on a daily basis with family.
Rooms and suites were nice.
The pools were great, ( the kids and adults loved the lazy river)
Fun and dancing late afternoons at pool side, each of the Breakers towers connect via the pools and walk ways.
This resort is right off the beach, and in the heart of the Broad walk and Promenade area of Myrtle Beach. a few blocks from the Sky Wheel. Plyer Park and Marvins ( great place on the beach to eat!)
Next visit WE WILL be staying at Breakers Resort.

Room Tip: Ask about any specials before booking!

My family & I stayed at the Breakers Resort from July 13-July 15. We had a wonderful time. The staff were very friendly. The ocean view room on the 20th floor of Paradise Tower was fantastic. The beach is steps away and the pool area of the hotel was relaxing with the lazy river. I would recommend this resort and would definitely stay again.

it is a wonderful place to stay and the staff is very friendly and understanding and will go outta of their way to help you in anyway possible that you need. The bar on premise is very good and the bartenders are exceptional and from staying here last year remembered my fiance and myself making us feel really welcomed. I've stayed here the past three summers and will continue to stay here from years to come.

Room Tip: Pirates Cove stay on second or third floor, no elevators but only three stories and the rooms are qu...

This was the third time we've stayed at the Breakers but our first review. We stayed in the Sailfish building this time. Room was clean and well kept. The biggest complaint about the room is that the mattresses were rock hard and thats been a common factor in all three of our stays. Pool area for the Sailfish building is actually the best one if you want quite time away from the crowd as they all flock to the main pool and lazy river. The courtyard is the best also again for being quite and more secluded feeling due to how the plants and trees have been laid out. Our only complaint with the pool area is lack of chairs and people "holding" chairs all day long by palcing towels and other items on them then never using them. Location is the greatest thing about the Breakers as alot of things are within walking distance. You could walk to a different restaurant every evening for a week and never hit the same one twice. Parking can be a bit difficult at times, but that holds true with just about every hotel down there. Staff was friendly. All in all, it's well worth the stay.

I manage a 13 year old baseball team that was playing in the Ripken Experience this past June. We had searched many places on where to stay and this was where we decided to stay. It was a GREAT location being only a few miles from the baseball complex and it was on the beach. The staff was very nice and the maid service was very prompt and helpful when we needed additional items. There is a great grocery store nearby as well that you must go to rather than going to Wal-Mart like everyone else does...BI-LO is where you need to go and stock up! Our condo had two rooms with one being near the door with two queen size beds with plenty of space to put our suitcases and clothes in drawers. The kitchen was small but had everything we needed. We did buy a sharp knife but other than that we had all the cooking stuff we needed. The view from the deck was great, the pools around the area were fun for the kids and the beach was right on site so it was perfect for what we wanted. I wish I could give this 3 1/2 stars because average doesn't sound right and very good would be too much. This is only because it is not a Four Seasons or Hyatt type four star property that some might be expecting when staying on the beach. I would certainly recommend people stay here when coming to Myrtle Beach, especially if you are playing at Ripken because it is so close. We stayed in the main building that had the pirate ship in the lazy river pool. Parking was easy in a nice garage right across the street and the Internet access worked great even on the 19th floor where our room was.

Room Tip: Ask for a higher room because I can see how it would be noisy on the lower floors. Good thing is th...
