This is a fantastic place -5th time going there- not just a bed and breakfast, but an at home set up. easy walking to golf, ocean and restaurants. fantastic -- we loved it-especially the room overlookng the pool on the first floor. We could watch the kids without going outside.

I am in the hotel industry and very particular about my hospitality stays. I was pleasantly surprised by what Serendipty has to offer and thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this very quaint and persoanlized Inn. It is a great value for your money, clean, great location and just three blocks from the beach. Phil is the finishing touch with his personlity and the very nice Breakfast every day. There is even a pool and hot tub if you do not care to be in the hustle and bustle of the beach.

I would reccommend this property to anyone who wanted to have a a different type of stay from a run of the mill hotel. I will certainly return on my next visit to Myrtle Beach.

We love B&Bs and this isn't what I'd call a B&B. But it has many things going for it that make it a good choice.
PROS: Great location, great price, good breakfast, friendly host, and it's clean. The owners have really tried to make this old motel into an inn. The rooms have "real" furniture and are named cute names and have cosy touches. There are paperbacks to read and even a movie called "Serendipity" to watch.
CONS: There is NO public ice maker. To get ice you have to find the owner who doesn't live on the property so he isn't always there. On Saturday evening. after trying unsuccessfully to find Phil, many of the guests just went to the nearest gas station and purchased bags of ice There is a coffee maker in the room but no sugar or creamer. A sign in the room says to wash all dishes before checking out but there is no dishwashing liquid. The rooms are old, the AC is noisy, lighting is terrible, and the carpet is thin.
Even with its rough spots, I would return to this little inn; but I'd bring my own ice!!!

We stayed at this Bed & Breakfast for 2 nights recently because we wanted to go to one of the shows one evening. It was the perfect location, not oceanfront, but still only about a block from the beach. It's close to the main road and only a couple of miles from Broadway at the Beach. The outside pool area is beautiful with nice flowering plants all around. There are many places to sit and enjoy the pool outside, even a fire pit for the evenings. It's a really quiet, peaceful place to sit and read. The owner, Phil, is very friendly and helpful. He knows all about the area and is ready and willing to chat about places to go and things to do while you are there.

Breakfast was great. One hot dish each morning (very good), and then warm muffins and a coffee cake or another pastry, as well as fruit, coffee, bagels and even cereal. The rooms are a little bit dated but very clean and cozy with antiques all around. The beds are very comfortable and the linens are clean and fresh. We were in one of the upstairs rooms and we were very happy with it, it was perfect for 2 people. I know there are larger rooms to accomodate families as well. It's very quiet there, none of the busy noise you hear at the oceanfront condos. If you are looking for a nice budget-friendly place to stay and you don't need to be oceanfront, this is a great choice.

We stayed for 3 days and loved it. The location was perfect, right in the middle of everything, just a couple of blocks from the beach, but far enough away so that it was quiet and peaceful. The owner Phil was very friendly and helpful, he even gave us a free upgrade, which we really apprieciated. The pool area was great for relaxing. The beds were very comfortable and our room and bathroom were nice and clean. The breakfast every morning was great, each morning there were freshly baked items that were still warm, with something different to choose from everyday. If you are looking for a cozy place that feels like your home away from home this is your best bet in Mytle Beach.
