We were staying in Myrtle Beach, one of many small and quaint beach towns along the Grand Strand (which we heard referred to as Redneck Riviera). Beach life is great to experience and great people watching opportunities. Everyone reduced to their childhood selves playing in the surf. The water was about 70 so I didn't get in, although many did. I loved watching the birds and fishermen, especially a man with his cast net. Off season with great weather made it the best!
