We played in the late afternoon--Staff was friendly and course was in great shape--Greens were verticut or it would have been in excellent shape. This golf course is not for the faint of heart as it is very challenging and can make the average golfer use four letter words. I will play this course again the next time I'm in MB

For a great introduction to the start of your golf trip you should visit Myrtle Beach National which has 3 courses - Southcreek, West Course and its most famous King's North. The facilities are excellent and you will always get a warm welcome from the bag handlers and shop staff. All 3 courses are challenging with the West Course being the longest. However the Kings North is the most attractive and features a par 5 (12th hole) which has an island fairway !! You have to decide from the tee-box if you want to gamble on hitting the green in 2 by hitting a 35-yard wide island fairway or take the traditional route around the lake. My tip is for each player to play 2 balls from the tee with the first ball taking the traditional route and the second taking the gamble - by the way the hole is known as "The Gambler". Its an Arnold Palmer designed course and is well worth a visit.

This course was a tough one to golf, however, it was enjoyable and beautiful to golf. Challenging, yet fun holes like 12th hole which is an island with traps in the shape of SC. Quite challenging too is the 6th hole also known as the "gambler" it has an island you can hit onto as a shortcut. The staff were truly amazing and friendly. Busy place as there was a Retired Military Golf event going on this week at several courses. Would recommend golfing here when in the Myrtle Beach area.

Everything was top notch at "The Kings Place"! Conditions were as they should be and you can not beat the lay out of the course. Perfect for any player, novice or scratch. Polite professional staff. Not a bad attitude in the bunch and the ranger was nice and made the day speed right through. I hope to play again on my next trip the Myrtle.

Perfect greens and fairways. A golfers delight. Tough but fair. Pro shop is understocked for a top notch course.Pro shop is dramatically understocked. very surprising.
